‘The Bachelor’ Ben Higgins Reportedly Making Secret Calls To His Ex, Does Lauren Bushnell Know?

Trouble might be brewing in Ben Higgins’ camp. A new report has it that the latest star of The Bachelor has been talking to another woman the whole time he’s been with Lauren Bushnell. And the mystery woman isn’t the other woman from the show he confessed his love for, Jojo Fletcher. Apparently, it’s his ex-girlfriend from college.

According to Hollywood Life, a report by Life & Style says that Ben stills values his ex-girlfriend’s opinion, even though it’s been three years since they broke up. However, even after breaking up Ben and his ex would still catch up with each other from time to time. But over the last year they have grown closer, despite Ben getting engaged to Lauren.

And with Ben and Lauren spending most of their time apart since getting engaged, hearing the news that Ben has been talking to and getting close to his former girlfriend would be crippling.

“Lauren and Ben are already having trust issues,” the source from Life & Style claims. “Now that they’re finally able to spend time together, if he calls his ex, she’s going to freak out. It’s going to start a war.”

However, with Ben and Lauren’s new relationship blossoming, it seems hard to believe that the couple are already fighting. Ben has already gone on record talking about how Lauren was always the one.

“It was always Lauren,” Ben told People. “No matter how much I felt for JoJo, I knew I could never say goodbye to Lauren. From the time she got out of the limo, to the first time I saw her walk around the corner at a cocktail party, everything kept being better than I ever expected.”

So whether or not there is trouble in Lauren and Ben’s future remains questionable, although Lauren recently did admit that watching other women from the show kiss Ben is hard. Which could be interpreted as a sign that if in fact Ben has been getting too close to his ex-girlfriend, Lauren isn’t going to take it very well.

“It’s so confusing because here we are weeks out from being engaged and [the] relationship [has progressed] even further [than] when we first got engaged,” Lauren admitted to ET. “I know this happened weeks ago, but you’re re-watching it. It’s like ‘your cheating on me’ or something…”

“It’s not fun to watch your fiancé kissing other women, but it’s also something that happened in the past,” she added.

Of course, Lauren was the one given the final rose, but she wasn’t the only competitor to win Ben’s love. But some have questioned if Ben loved the two woman he confessed to in the same way. Is that possible? According to experts, yes, it is.

Helen Fisher, a biological anthropologist who studies romantic love believes that this is entirely possible, rare, but possible.

Apparently, when a person is pursued romantically by so many people, like what happens on The Bachelor, having love for more than one woman can sometimes happen.

Fisher said that as time on The Bachelor progressed, the women begin to show their true nature, whether that’s good or bad, usually by the things they say or do. So when Higgins professed his love for two women he was telling the truth, despite the naysayers.

So whether or not Ben has been talking to his ex, or if Lauren knows about is beside the point because Lauren is sooner rather than later going to Mrs. Higgins.

“I would love to do 2016, early 2017,” Ben said to E! News. “I don’t want to rush it to the point where it’s stressful, but I also don’t want to wait too long. OMG, we can’t wait!
