Gwen Stefani Interviewed 67 Nannies, Recently Attended One Of Their Weddings Without Blake Shelton
Gwen Stefani’s children are obviously very important to her, but the “Rare” singer’s crazy career makes it difficult for her to spend as much time with them as she would like. According to Gwen, she interviewed dozens of nannies to ensure that make sure that 1-year-old Apollo, 7-year-old Zuma, and 9-year-old Kingston only receive the best care when she can’t be with them.
One of these nannies, Mindy Mann, allegedly engaged in a lengthy affair with Stefani’s ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale. However, this didn’t sour the singer’s opinion of all childcare professionals—she’s become such good friends with one member of her team of caretakers that she recently attended the nanny’s wedding.
During an interview with Stylist, Gwen Stefani talked about how she put together the current nanny team that’s helping her care for her sons. Gwen wanted to make sure that she was hiring nannies who would help her make the most of the precious time that she gets to share with her kids, and she had to talk to 67 people before she found the perfect caretakers.
“I’m super-unorganized, a real procrastinator, time management is non-existent. When I had them, I realized I couldn’t be selfish anymore. My time away needs to be productive, and my time with them needs to be productive,” Gwen said.
“It’s a lot of depending on a lot of other people. I had to interview 67 nannies alone, in this room, to get the people I have now.”
Gwen Stefani didn’t clarify whether she meant that she’s talked to this many nannies over the years or whether she interviewed that many people while trying to find a replacement for Mindy Mann. As Us Weekly reports, Stefani fired Mann last February after finding out that the nanny and Gavin Rossdale had engaged in a three-year-long affair. Stefani and Rossdale announced that they were getting a divorce last August.
“Well, as you know, last February is when my life fell apart. For six months I didn’t know what was going to happen. It was so horrible, I was thinking about the children, and just trying to fix it,” Gwen Stefani said. “And I clearly remember sitting with my girl friend, feeling so embarrassed, and then thinking: I can’t go down like this!”
It’s possible that the “girl friend” in question is the nanny who informed Gwen Stefani about Mindy Mann and Gavin Rossdale’s affair. An unnamed nanny reportedly discovered explicit text messages between Mindy and Gavin on the family iPad, which was linked to Gavin’s phone. The nanny also found nude photos that Mindy had sent to Gavin.

If Zelva is the nanny/friend who had the heartbreaking task of telling Gwen Stefani about Gavin Rossdale’s cheating, she’s likely thrilled that Gwen has found a new love in country crooner Blake Shelton. Unfortunately, the “Came Here to Forget” singer is currently on tour, so he couldn’t attend Zelva’s wedding with Gwen and the boys. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gwen and Blake have already attended at least three weddings together since they started dating last November.
