Selena Gomez And Her New ‘Boyfriend Standards’
Selena Gomez has recently revealed that she is the only single girl in their squad. That’s right, she told Capital FM that all of her friends are taken except her. Capital’s Roman Kemp asked Selena what it takes to join the #Squad.
“Maybe not for the Squad, but boyfriend material, definitely, is always good!” Selena said. She then went on to say that she does dislike the fact that she is the only single lady in among her friends. “The reason I made that reference is none of them are single, just so you know! Taylor’s not single, Gigi’s not single, neither is Kendall! I’m the only single one!”
So, the question remains: What does Selena Gomez really want in a guy and why has she not been able to find one after her break up with Justin Bieber. She has been linked to several men, but there has been no confirmation on her relationship status. It seems like Taylor Swift is always very encouraging when it comes to giving advice on relationships. Hollywood Life has reported that Taylor Swift is telling Selena Gomez not to fret over her relationship status. The insider source goes on to say that Taylor is not the one to brag about her relationship. Taylor goes on to remind Selena about the tough times she had before she found Calvin Harris. And Taylor is known to tell Selena that her time will definitely come.
“Taylor is always encouraging Selena,” the insider told Hollywood Life exclusively. “She never brags about her relationship with Calvin. Instead, she reminds Selena about her own heartache and how she overcame her own obstacles and eventually met Calvin. She just tells her to keep believing that her time will come and not to settle. And most importantly, to have an open mind and heart.”
Hollywood Life has reported that Selena is very happy for Taylor, and that she is also jealous of her because Swift and Harris are very close to each other and that’s the sort of relationship she wants for herself.
“Selena would give anything to be in a relationship like Taylor and Calvin’s,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “To have this type of commitment and respect for each other would be a dream for Selena. She has been very supportive of Taylor and Calvin’s relationship and was the first to wish them Happy Anniversary. Their relationship gives Selena hope that she will one day have the same thing and that one day she will find her soulmate.” It’s understandable why Selena would be upset. Everyone is looking for a soulmate, after all.
However, Selena did spark a rumor that she was probably seeing Taylor Swift’s brother, Austin Swift. It was reported that the two were seen together all night.
“There wasn’t one time that I didn’t see them (Selena and Austin) together. Granted, Taylor was also with them, but at one point it was just the two of them dancing while Taylor was dancing with Lorde and Brie Larson. Selena and Austin weren’t holding hands or anything like that, but they do make a good looking couple, and they looked like they were having a great time together,” an eyewitness told Hollywood Life exclusively. It’s not really clear if there is something brewing between the two, but knowing Selena, one can safely say that she would come out with the news of her relationship if it ever happens.
