Is Justin Timberlake Making New Music With Pharrell Williams? ‘Sexy Back’ Singer Teases Fans With Photos In Studio

It’s approaching three years since Justin Timberlake dropped a new album, although that might change in the near future. The singer recently set social media on fire after he posted an image of himself alongside Pharrell Williams. Does this mean the two are getting ready to collaborate on a new project?

According to E! Online, Timberlake took to Instagram with a picture of himself and Williams hanging out in a studio. Timberlake is shown sitting on a couch opposite of Williams, with music equipment in the background.

Timberlake captioned the image with the word “currently,” so it isn’t known if the two were just hanging out or working. Of course, fans can only hope that the image is a hint that the pair are working on some kind of musical project together.

To add more excitement to the mix, Timberlake also shared a photo on Instagram of him posing alongside The Weeknd. Although nothing official has been confirmed, it is possible that Timberlake and The Weeknd are singing together on a track while Pharrell is supplying the beat.

“This dude, @davidblaine is THE BEST IN THE BIZ. Me and @abelxo are TRIPPIN’ right now!!!!” Timberlake wrote. “Known him since I was 19 and he still blows me away with his talent!”

According to the Daily Mail, this wouldn’t be the first time that Pharrell and Timberlake have teamed up. In fact, the two worked together on Timberlake’s first single as a solo artist, titled “Like I Love You,” which arrived back in 2002. Furthermore, Pharrell has co-written a number of Timberlake’s songs over the years, including “Senorita,” “Rock Your Body,” and “Signs.”

Considering their former hits together, another team up between Pharrell and Justin Timberlake would be gold. If The Weeknd is added into the mix, then fans are definitely in for an exciting time.

Meanwhile, Timberlake’s short hiatus from music is largely due to the birth of his new son, Silas. While Timberlake is happily married to Jessica Biel, he recently opened up about his former romance with Britney Spears and their time together on the set of Crossroads.

Timberlake and Spears’ relationship lasted from 1999 to 2002. In an interview with Us Magazine, Crossroads director Tamra Davis discussed just how in love Spears and Timberlake were at the time. In particular, Spears had the habit of doodling Timberlake’s name in her prop notebook.

“I have the book. All she was writing was ‘Britney and Justin,’ all these little curlicues. It was like looking at a teenage girl’s musings — hearts and butterflies and Justin’s name,” Davis revealed.

Along with writing about Timberlake in her notebook, Davis also shared her perspective on their relationship. Apparently, Timberlake worked right alongside Spears during the movie and didn’t hesitate to support her in everything she did.

“It was just the most beautiful relationship, seeing the two of them together and how love-y they were. They were just so close, and she was such a supporter of his. He worked just as hard as her,” she stated. “It was like, she would be doing rehearsals and he would be doing rehearsals. They really knew that life together.”

Following his breakup with Spears in 2002, Timberlake went on to date Cameron Diaz until the two decided to split in 2006. Timberlake then met Biel in 2007 and have remained together ever since. Their recent child is the first for the Timberlake family.

As far as his next album is concerned, fans will have to wait until something official is announced. Hopefully, his collaboration with Pharrell and The Weeknd is featured in whatever he releases next.
