‘American Horror Story’ Season 6 News: Major Actress May Be Returning

American Horror Story season 6 is on everyone’s mind these days and there have been some new developments that fans might be quite pleased with. On top of the returning troupe actors, there is one in particular that was not there last season, but may just end up returning in season 6 if all goes as planned.

Season 5 of American Horror Story, which was the Hotel installment, was all about Lady Gaga as the headliner. She stole the show for her freshman season and fans were quite delighted with what she gave them. Since she has already confirmed that she will be returning to season 6, the plot is about to thicken with an old cast member rumored to be on the horizon.

For those of you AHS fans that tuned into Ryan Murphy’s other hit show on Fox, Scream Queens, then you know all too well that Emma Roberts had a quite a busy schedule and had to sit out season 5 of AHS. But the actress did not like missing the season and she has voiced her intentions for next season of American Horror Story, of which the theme has not been announced yet.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight about whether or not she would like to return to American Horror Story for its season 6 run, Roberts was quite smitten with the idea.

“Hopefully, this season!” Emma Roberts told ET. “Last year, it just didn’t work out ’cause I was still shooting Scream Queens. But now that Scream Queens is shooting [season two] in L.A. and not New Orleans, maybe I’ll just have to walk over to the stage and force myself onto the show.”

But that’s not the best part of the American Horror Story season 6 news, as Roberts also elaborated on the fact that she was a previous AHS diva and left the show for Murphy’s other eccentric horror series on Fox, the stage may just be set for her triumphant return and a showdown of Hollywood’s hottest young talent. Not just any showdown though, but rather a world-class fight between the two industry young female heavyweights.

“My dream,” Roberts said. “My dream. Do you hear that? My dream!”

Roberts was just a newcomer herself to American Horror Story back in season 3 of the show, which was the Coven season. She then stayed on for season 4 of AHS in the Freak Show installment, which garnered some of the best ratings ever for FX network.

So now that Lady Gaga has one headlining season of American Horror Story in, the stage could indeed be set for the ultimate showdown of the divas, should Roberts be invited back to the show. The two young stars have enough mojo to bring in a huge audience and an even bigger draw from horror fans all over the world. After all, who wouldn’t want to see the two actresses square off on AHS, which is considered by some to be one of the biggest cult hits on television, only trailing AMC’s heavy hitting horror series, The Walking Dead.

If that is not enough for you to tune into season 6, then how about the return of American Horror Story’s ultimate diva, Jessica Lange? Although Lange headlined the first five seasons of American Horror Story, she sat out last season and some think that her absence took away from the show’s momentum. So if she were to return, that could mean that season 6 of AHS could be the Battle Royale of the year on FX.

There has been no word yet on what the theme for season 6 of American Horror Story is going to be.
