Rihanna, Drake Friends With Benefits: Singer ‘Can’t Stop Hooking Up With Him,’ Says Source

With Rihanna’s career being hotter than ever, the Bajan-star has made it known that she doesn’t have time to settle down and commit herself to a relationship, which would explain why she prefers the idea of hooking up with her friend with benefits pal, Drake.

The duo reportedly dated for several months back in 2010, just one year after Rihanna’s horrific incident with Chris Brown. At the time, the 28-year-old had claimed that her on-again, off-again rapper beau had tremendously helped her get through a very dark time, stating that the two were still good friends following their split.

Since then, however, Drake and Rihanna have made up and broke up on endless occasions — to the point where even fans have questioned as to why the twosome won’t just remain friends instead.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, that’s exactly what the pair have settled with. A source for the outlet claims that Rihanna prefers Drake being her pal with benefits as opposed to her boyfriend, blaming her hectic work schedule as one of the reasons why a relationship with Drizzy would be a total disaster.

Rihanna, who is currently touring North America, is believed to have rekindled her romance with Drake after she approached the Canadian-born artist with her number one single, “Work.” From there, the chemistry blossomed and neither of them has looked back since.

An insider reveals, “They’re not together, but Rihanna’s fallen off the wagon. She and Drake are back to being friends with benefits and she’s all right with that, for now.” Rihanna would’ve never bothered giving Drake another chance if she wasn’t attracted to him — she clearly sees herself settling down with him in the future, but for now, she’s firmly keeping him in the friend with benefits zone.

“Drake plays mind games and it’s sad because she’s falling for his BS all over again. She can’t help herself. She knows he’s a jerk at times and a player. She overlooks that because he’s charming, smooth and sexy.”

Reports claiming that Rihanna and Drake are hooking up again come just days after the rapper surprised fans at the singer’s show in Miami for her wildly popular Anti tour. The “Energy” hitmaker enjoyed a twerk-fest performance as Rih-Rih staged a special choreography just for Drake, who seemed rather impressed with her grinding skills.

With that being said, as previously mentioned, Rihanna is planning to stay on tour until August while Drake is looking at a potential summer release for his forthcoming studio album before he heads on out on the road.

This consequently means that neither of the two will have time to spend with one another, making the idea of being friends with benefits so much more convenient.

Should either of them fall in love with somebody else, neither Drake or Rihanna would be saddened or frustrated by it, knowing very well where their relationship currently stands.

It’s nothing more than a hook-up for now, but if it was to develop into something more in the future, Rihanna would wholeheartedly embrace a full-on reconciliation. The insider concludes by saying that the timing would have to make sense for the ever-so-busy singer to commit herself to Drake, having just recently launched her own fashion line with Puma.
