Bill Cosby’s photo was replaced by comedian Kevin Hart’s photograph in Google search. If you googled Bill Cosby’s net worth, a smiling portrait of 36-year-old stand-up comedian Kevin Hart would appear on Google on March 16.
Cosby, whose net worth is $400 million according to The Richest, wasn’t recognized by the Google.
Upon searching the net worth of Cosby, the search engine displayed a box with information provided by entertainment website The Richest.
The box read, “American musician, activist, author, actor, comedian, education and television producer Bill Cosby has an estimated net worth of $400 million. Some of Cosby’s most notable works include The Bill Cosby Show, I Spy, Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, Cosby, The Cosby Show, The Cosby Mysteries, and The Electric Company.”
The information in the box was absolutely right about Bill Cosby. However, the photograph wasn’t. Instead of the 78-year-old actor, the photograph featured comedian Kevin Hart.
Whether it was a prank by Google, an internal fault, or some kind of malfunction, we don’t know. But it surely wasn’t The Richest’s fault, because the website’s page linked by the box correctly showed the 78-year-old comedian.
This caused the Twitter world to go crazy. There have been numerous tweets targeted at this goof. Most of the tweets had an angry tone and disapproved of the mistake done by the internet giant.

A twitter user wrote, “I didn’t know Bill Cosby looked like Kevin Hart.”
He also posted a screenshot of the search engine’s blunder.

Another tweet, by Chris, was a satire to the huge amount of misinformation present on the internet.
“the Internet is always right… bill Cosby is Kevin hart.”
There were, in fact, many satirical tweets.
“Why you can’t believe everything you see on Google. I type in Bill Cosby’s net worth & they got a pic of Kevin Hart,” a tweet read.
Some tweets even gave the incident a racial twist.
“So when you Google Bill Cosby’s net worth a pic of Kevin Hart pops up. Google thinks all black ppl look the same.”
Numerous tweets with various reactions. Not everybody was angry or dissatisfied by this mistake. Some even found it entertaining.
In fact, it’s surprising how a trusted search engine like Google could mistake an elderly 78-year-old person with a young 36-year-old.
Bill is now almost 80-years-old and is facing prosecution for sexual assault against different women. Hart, on the other hand, is in his mid-30s and enjoying a great deal of popularity and an amazing boost in his career.
The only similarity between Cosby and Hart is that they both are black.
But this is not it. There’s still something interesting about this whole Cosby-Hart incident — probably the most interesting of all. According to Hollywwod Life, the misidentification has been around since March 1, but no one from the company took notice of it and fixed it.
