Nicki Minaj Confirms That She Isn’t Getting Married Just Yet

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill’s romance has been something of a public relationship. However, a wedding isn’t something that’s in the cards just yet, according to Minaj. She sparked rumours flying last year by wearing two different diamond rings, leading to Meek Mill having to deny that he hasn’t popped the big question yet. The pair continued to insist that they were still in the early stage of their relationship.

That didn’t stop the rumor mill from continuing to turn, though, leading to Nicki Minaj recently having to insist again that she’s not engaged to Meek Mill. That being said, the star did go on to say that she’s confident Meek Mill is the one.

“When he and I were just friends, he would always say, ‘You remind me of my mother, and I like that because you’re like a dude. You’re tough like a guy and you talk like a dude.’ So, I always got the sense that me being tough and bossy was a turn-on for him.

“And it’s important for me to keep my voice. Being in a relationship shouldn’t mean that you lose your voice. Being in a relationship should mean that you’ve met a secure-enough man to allow you, in a sense, to remain a queen.”

At the current time, it comes as no surprise that a wedding isn’t something Nicki Minaj is thinking about. The star is currently believed to be at the peak of her career and understandably wants to focus on that. It’s all good for Nicki Minaj right now, so much so that Meek Mill may not have even been able to find the time to pop the question.

Minaj’s relationship with Meek Mill dates back to early 2015, when the pair began dating. Since that time, they’ve consistently been seen in public as a pretty rock-solid couple, with many predicting that marriage can’t be too far away for the pair. That’s especially the case since the pair have regularly jumped into spats in defense of each other. The world of Hollywood is one packed full of rocky relationships that often don’t last long enough to see marriage, but Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill’s relationship is definitely an exception.

That being said, it’s worth remembering that Nicki Minaj is probably looking to take things a little bit slower with this relationship. Shortly before she started dating Meek Mill, the star came out of a long-term relationship with rapper Safaree Samuels. The pair’s relationship lasted for 12 years before their break-up in August 2014. The breakup was a particularly ugly one, with Safaree and Nicki Minaj exchanging tweets back and forth.

It definitely appears as if Nicki Minaj has been lucky in love in her relationship with Meek Mill. Neither one is looking for something very serious right now, which would explain their decision not to jump straight into marriage.

If the pair aren’t considering marriage right now, there’s still a chance that a collaboration could be on the cards. Both Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj are, of course, well known for their musical talents, so bringing those talents together could be something of an achievement.

For now, though, despite marriage not being an option for Mill and Minaj, they appear to be happy in love and that’s all that matters. Plenty of celebrity relationships just don’t last, however, there’s something about this one that looks to stand the test of time.
