Marilyn Manson Returns Compliment By Wearing Justin Bieber T-Shirt: See It Here
Marilyn Manson and Justin Bieber’s T-shirt mutual appreciation society is still going strong.
On Thursday, the veteran hard rocker shared a selfie wearing a Justin Bieber T-shirt on his Instagram and Twitter accounts.
“Bigger than Bieber,” the 47-year-old’s caption reads, in a clear reference to the Biebs’ donning a T-shirt bearing the likeness of Manson during Bieber’s recently-kicked-off Purpose World Tour.

The T-shirt Bieber wears onstage, which Manson is alluding to, was in fact designed by Jerry Lorenzo’s Los Angeles-based label, Fear Of God. The front reveals Manson’s likeness. The back reads “Bigger Than Satan Bieber” in bold red lettering.
It’s likely Manson’s decision to wear a Justin Bieber Purpose Tour T-shirt is an approving gesture in response to Bieber paying tribute to him at his shows.
This isn’t the first time Manson has made it known that Bieber’s T-shirt choices are on his radar. During the pop icon’s trip to Sydney, Australia, last July to attend an annual Pentecostal Hillsong Church conference, the Biebs wore a Manson-featuring T-shirt, from Marilyn’s Antichrist Superstar collection, during his visit.
Paparazzi-shot photos of Bieber’s mass selfie-taking with fans wearing a Marilyn Manson-featuring T-shirt blew up worldwide, like everything Bieber does. Local press and television networks covered it, followed by the rest of the media.
By the following morning, Marilyn Manson had tweeted a seeming endorsement of Bieber using his likeness.
The Pale Emperor singer wrote, “Preach. Where are you now? Church,” which references the Biebs’ collaborative “Where Are Ü Now” single with Jack Ü’s Diplo and Skrillex.

Manson followed it up with a tweet directed to Bieber, writing, “@justinbieber the real HELL word.”

Then in September, after Bieber debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 with “What Do You Mean?” he recorded a video for his fans wearing the same T-shirt. Again, Manson approved.

Fast-forward to Manson rocking a Bieber T-shirt on Thursday, and things have come full circle. Meanwhile, after kicking off his Purpose World Tour in Seattle, Washington, last week to almost unanimously glowing reviews (smug music blogs damning a 22-year-old for being a fan of Kurt Cobain excepted), the Canadian superstar performed at the SAP arena in San Jose, California, last night to an over 19,000-strong crowd.
The Biebs will next perform at The Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, before continuing to arenas across North America and Canada. The 64-date leg wraps at Madison Square Garden on July 19. The European leg commences in September and ends in London on November 29. Check out some of the videos from San Jose below.
