‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Casting Rumors: Stacey Dash On Shortlist, Kim Fields Fired — Who Will Return For Explosive Season 9?

Real Housewives of Atlanta has finished airing season 8 with only the two-part reunion to show on Bravo before looking toward season 9. With the RHOA reunion also comes rumors of who will be re-cast for the following season and who might be getting the boot. Naturally, Bravo will have to replace whichever housewives they fire, leaving speculation wide open about who might fill the role. Now there are rumors that a particularly controversial political commentator might be joining the RHOA cast in light of rumors that Kim Fields was given her pink slip. Do you think Stacey Dash would fit in well with the rest of the cast or would there be constant sparks and drama?

Ask Kissy recently reported that Dash was in the running to join the Bravo reality series. The report claimed that a blind item bit of gossip about a possible new RHOA cast member was pointed directly at Stacey, who has made a lot of waves recently after she took shots at the #OscarsSoWhite movement and suggested Americans do away with Black History Month and black-centric programs and award shows like BET and the NAACP Image Awards.

Certainly many of Stacey Dash’s beliefs would clash with current Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members like Nene Leakes, Phaedra Parks, and Cynthia Bailey. The interaction between the politically conservative Dash and the RHOA cast would certainly cause drama. Would Stacey be willing to film a reality TV series like RHOA?

There is still no confirmation that Stacey Dash will join the Bravo reality series but based on a set of clues, it looks like that might happen. Farrah Gray reported that it was Dash who said that reality TV is nothing but acting. She also allegedly said that she would love to play an “exaggerated version of herself.” Stacey even reportedly admitted that she didn’t even like the rest of the cast on RHOA but that it would only help ratings because she wouldn’t back down from the drama.

In addition to the shocking rumors that Stacey Dash might join the cast, we also learned that Kim Fields is probably leaving. Let’s face it, even when Kim was sparring with Kenya, many fans found her boring. The most controversial thing Fields did during the whole season was to drag her kids around with her to every RHOA function. At the end of season 8, Kim was surrounded by controversy after her husband Chris was accused of being a closet homosexual.

During the trip to Jamaica, Phaedra, Kenya, and Sheree discussed rumors that Chris Morgan was known in the business for being interested in men. The jokes about Kim Fields’ husband went a bit wild and naturally, someone had to spill the beans to Kim, causing the most interest in Kim Fields’ storyline than she had for the rest of the season.

Fans have been asking Bravo for months to get Kim Fields off RHOA and it looks like that might actually happen. During an Instagram feud between Kim Fields’ husband Chris and Porsha Williams’ brother, it seems that the friend spilled the beans on RHOA firing Fields. This still hasn’t been confirmed but given Fields’ status as definitely not a favorite housewife, news of her firing wouldn’t be shocking.

There are also reports that the core RHOA stars are all staying put. Season 9 will likely be comprised of Nene Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams again. We even heard Kandi Burruss got her contract renewed despite kind of a boring season from her too. We’re betting Bravo is banking on season 9 being full of drama between Phaedra and Kandi after the feds raided Kandi and Cynthia looking for Apollo Nida’s hidden vehicles. Kandi claimed that Phaedra turned her in, but she seems to have forgotten about the time she talked about putting Apollo’s ATV in her garage on an episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta.
