Colorado Pastor Attacks The Muppets Over Chick-fil-A Pull Out

As if Colorado needed more press as it is, now a pastor has come forward to attack The Muppets and Jim Henson’s company after they pulled out of Chick-fil-A deal because of the company’s anti-gay stance.

The Colorado springs pastor, Kevin Swanson, attacked a group of minorities that no one could openly hate with a beating heart — The Muppets. Swanson’s attack happened on his radio show on Friday, which is appropriately titled Generations With Vision. The pastor and his co-host Dave Buehner encouraged death penalty for homosexuality and even suggested that Chick-fil-A add “a frog-filet sandwich and pig-on-a-bun to its menu.”

Obviously referring to America’s favorite couple Kermit the frog and Miss Piggy, Swanson continued his tirade against The Muppets saying, “Sesame Street and the Muppets are going to take the sodomy route,” and even suggested that Kermit, Fozzie and the gang supported NAMBLA which is an organization that supports young boys being paired with older men, in essence it’s a pedophile advocacy group.

Pastor Swanson’s co-host Buehner went on to say about the definition of tolerance, saying, “tolerance only runs one direction—you only can tolerate gays, you can’t tolerate those who don’t support gays.”

The Muppets pulled out of being Chick-fil-A toys when it was reported that the company gave financial donations to organizations that were opposed to same-sex marriage, such as Marriage & Family Foundation and the Family Research Coucil. The Jim Henson Company stated that it would “cease its business relationship with Chick-fil-A and donate payment for the brand to Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).”
