WWE Spoilers: Two New ‘WrestleMania 32’ Title Matches Confirmed During Tonight’s ‘SmackDown’ Taping
WWE has gone from hardly having any matches confirmed for WrestleMania 32 to doubling the amount of bouts on the card in just two days. As of Monday afternoon, there were only four matches set and in place. On Monday Night Raw, two more matches were announced and brought the total to six. At the SmackDown taping on Tuesday evening, there were two huge title matches accepted, confirmed, and added to the card for a total of eight in all.
Please note that this article does contain SPOILERS for this weekend’s episode of SmackDown which airs on Thursday night. If you don’t wish to know the results ahead of time, then stop reading now.
On Monday, two big matches were announced in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and a tag match between the Dudley Boyz and The Usos. SmackDown though, it brought much more.
During Monday Night Raw, Ryback issued a challenge to Kalisto and wanted him to put up the United States Title at WrestleMania 32. Wrestling Inc. is reporting that at the SmackDown taping on Tuesday, Kaliso accepted Ryback’s challenge.WWE has been giving a lot of attention to Ryback in the past month with a new look, new attitude, and him leaning toward a full-on heel turn. You can pretty much guarantee that Kalisto will have the fan support in Dallas for WrestleMania 32.
Another big title match was also confirmed at the SmackDown taping on Tuesday, and WrestleZone had the detailed spoilers to prove it.
In the past week, The New Day have defended their titles and defeated two different teams from the League of Nations. On Tuesday, Kofi Kingston even defeated King Barrett in a one-on-one match to make The New Day 3-0 in the past week alone.Even though The New Day is winning the matches, they are still outnumbered and that could be a problem. On Raw, Sheamus issued the challenge for the titles at WrestleMania 32, and on Tuesday night, The New Day accepted.
Now, the WWE Tag Team Titles are going to be on the line at the big Pay-Per-View, but who will The New Day get as their fourth member? After the singles match on SmackDown, they get beaten down again by the League of Nations and all because they’re outnumbered by one.
Eight matches are set for the early April event, and there are going to be more to come. The Intercontinental Title still needs to have a match in which it is defended, and a few others are being rumored as well.
So far, the confirmed card is as follows:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns
- Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
- No Holds Barred Street Fight: Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
- Hell in a Cell: Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker
- 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- The Dudley Boyz vs. The Usos
- WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs. League of Nations
- United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback
The first participants for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal have also been revealed. SmackDown spoilers reveal that the Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) have all officially entered the match.
The majority of the focus and build for WrestleMania 32 has been on the huge Hell in a Cell match between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker. That is rather understandable though, as control of Monday Night Raw will belong to Shane-O Mac if he can pull out a big win.
