WWE Rumors: Updated Card For ‘WrestleMania 32’ And Rumored Matches — Six Confirmed, Multi-Man Ladder Title Match Takes A Hit
Finally, WWE is beginning to really build up the card for WrestleMania 32, and it happened last night on Monday Night RAW. Two more matches were added to the card for a total of six confirmed, but there are plenty more rumored. Unfortunately though, the proposed multi-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Title took a big hit when a superstar went down with an injury that is likely to keep him out past the big event.
Four matches were already set, confirmed, and in place by the time Monday rolled around.
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns
- Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
- No Holds Barred Street Fight: Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
- Hell in a Cell: Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker
Those have been part of the card for a while now, but WWE announced two new matches after last night. One is a big tag team match that has been built up for weeks, but it was finally cemented and put into place.
The Dudley Boyz and The Usos are going to face off in a tag team match, and as of now, it seems to be without any stipulations. The Dudleys have been speaking out against the use of tables, so there may not be any kind of use of furniture in the bout at all.WrestleZone confirmed that the match was set after the happenings on RAW last night.
Another match that was announced and confirmed is one that’s also been expected for a while.
The 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal was confirmed via WWE.com on Monday, and it is now certain that this will be a yearly event. As of now, there are no names entered in the match, but they will be soon. This match is typically filled with those that don’t have a match on the WrestleMania card, but still deserve to be on the Pay-Per-View and get a paycheck for it.
Rumors from the past few months have had a relative newcomer winning the match in Braun Strowman, but those backstage plans may have changed.
Now, that’s six confirmed matches, but there are going to be at least 10 or 11 total on the card, in order to fill up five hours. Many others are rumored, and one big one may have taken a pretty big hit on RAW last night.
A rumored multi-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Title has been rumored for a while, and it was going to, of course, include champion Kevin Owens. Other names likely for the match were Neville, The Miz, Sami Zayn, and Dolph ZigglerWWE.com confirmed that Neville did suffer an injury during his match against Chris Jericho on Monday, and it looks like he will miss WrestleMania 32. Dr. Chris Amann checked out Neville’s injury after, and it didn’t look good.
“Neville sustained a left ankle injury on a baseball slide during his match with Chris Jericho. Initial X-rays reveal a fracture of the ankle. He will undergo further imaging today to determine the extent of the fracture and to determine if surgery will be necessary.”
PWMania is reporting that a possible six-divas tag team match could also be added to the card, and it would mark Lana’s wrestling debut. As seen on RAW last night, she has become quite chummy with Tamina Snuka and Naomi, former members of Team B.A.D.
After the show, WWE posted this picture.
Lana has had issues with Brie Bella as of late, and last night, Brie teamed with Alicia Fox. It was also revealed last month by WWE seamstress Julie Youngblood that she was working on WrestleMania gear for Paige and Brie, so there could be a multi-divas tag match in the works.
The New Day had their face turn happen in full last night, and it was at the hands of the League of Nations, who beat them down. Later, Sheamus challenged the unicorns to a WWE Tag Team Title match at WrestleMania 32, and are now just waiting on a response.
WWE has also been hinting at a United States Title match between Kalisto and Ryback. Kalisto hasn’t really been in a feud or program as of late, but this is the direction things seem to be going.
So, the confirmed matches for WrestleMania 32 are currently at six, but here are the rumored bouts that could be announced soon.
- WWE Tag Team Titles: The New Day (c) vs. League of Nations
- United States Title: Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback
- Intercontinental Title Ladder Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs. The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs.???
- Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, & Paige vs. Lana, Naomi, & Tamina Snuka
WrestleMania 32 is building up to be a great event, but more matches need to be solidly put in place. There are less than three weeks to go until the biggest Pay-Per-View of the year, and rumors are still flying, but a few more title matches and some others will be added before too long.
