WWE News: ‘Monday Night RAW’ Preview — The Road To ‘WrestleMania’ Is Set

Now that WWE Roadblock has come and gone, the WWE Universe can all switch their focus to WrestleMania 32 in Dallas on April 3. But before the WWE reaches Dallas, they are making a stop in Pittsburgh for tonight’s WWE Monday Night RAW. At the end of last week’s WWE RAW, Dean Ambrose was headed to Roadblock to try to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Triple H. Having fallen short, The Lunatic Fringe must now focus on Brock Lesnar, while The Game sets his sights on Roman Reigns.

Additionally, the match between Shane McMahon and The Undertaker will undoubtedly be addressed. If any of the rumors that Shane-O-Mac will be bringing back someone like Bill Goldberg, John Cena, or even CM Punk to wrestle in his stead at WM32, then that substitute will need to appear on RAW very soon. The Wyatt Family, Dolph Ziggler, and The Usos were all involved in the main event on Thursday Night SmackDown, but none of them have a match set for Dallas. There are a countless number of things the WWE still needs to address regarding the biggest show of the year that’s less than three weeks away!

Below is a look at WWE.com’s official Monday Night RAW preview, and the six storylines that are most likely to be addressed at tonight’s RAW. While Monday Night RAW and Thursday Night SmackDown have both been “The Dean Ambrose Show” as of late, all of that should change this week. With WrestleMania so close and so many details still to be worked out, who will show up at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, tonight?

Road To WrestleMania Now Clear For Triple H

The results of WWE Roadblock were such that two of the biggest matches at WrestleMania 32 did not change whatsoever, much to the chagrin of the WWE Universe and the IWC. Has Roman Reigns had enough time to recover that he can confront Triple H on WWE RAW tonight?

Even with the brief Wyatt Family distraction, the fact that Dean Ambrose is still without the WWE World Heavyweight Championship would seem to indicate that his No Hold Barred Street Fight with Brock Lesnar is still set for Dallas on April 3. With The Lunatic Fringe, The Beast Incarnate, and The Advocate all in attendance tonight, the friction for their match at Mania should only intensify.

Sins Of The Father

Shane is facing quite a challenge at WrestleMania this year. His in-ring opponent is the most dominant force in Mania history, and the match will be held in the Hell In A Cell, an environment that The Undertaker has essentially made his home-away-from-home.

And while Shane continues to train for what may be the most physically demanding twenty minutes of his life, Vince McMahon continues to attack his son emotionally and psychologically. But what’s going to happen when Shane is finally face-to-face with The Dead Man?

Will #KOMania become #WrestleZaynia?

When Sami Zayn made the save for Neville last week, it was like the WWE Universe had witnessed the return of a old friend, despite the fact that Zayn had only ever officially wrestled in one televised main roster match. Will he now go on to WrestleMania to face WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens with the belt on the line?

If that’s the case, it leaves a lot of unanswered questions about April 3. It was looking as though Owens would work a program with Big Show. Is that already over? Last year’s IC Title match at Mania was a 7-Man Ladder Match. Will guys like Neville, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz also challenge for KO’s belt, or will they just get a spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal? And what about Kalisto’s WWE United States Championship?

There’s Something About Lana

The hottest story out of the WWE Divas division is the Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania for the Divas Championship featuring Charlotte against challengers Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. But there’s another feud among the women of WWE that could culminate in Dallas: Brie Bella and Lana.

With Vince lacking star-power for this year’s Mania, could the WWE be using a match between Brie and Lana as a way to get Daniel Bryan indirectly involved by being in his wife’s corner?

Burn, Baby, Burn

It’s safe to say that the team of Chris Jericho and A.J. Styles set a new WWE record: eight days after the “Y2AJ” shirt was available at WWE.com, the team broke up.

These guys have already proven they can put on a decent match — but they’ve proven it at least three times since the conclusion of the Royal Rumble. Now that they have formed a tag team and broken it up, will we get yet another match between The Phenomenal One and Y2J at WrestleMania 32?

The New Day To Defend WWE Tag Team Titles Against The League Of Nations

At WWE Roadblock, The New Day successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championship against The New Day. On WWE Monday Night RAW, they are facing The League of Nations again. But it’s not technically a rematch.

In Toronto, Big E and Kofi Kingston defeated Wade Barrett and Sheamus. On RAW, they will square off against Alberto Del Rio and Rusev. Will these two factions continue to feud until WrestleMania?

Where To Watch

WWE Roadblock can be streamed on-demand exclusively on the WWE Network. On April 3, the WWE Network will air WWE WrestleMania 32 live at 7/6c.

WWE Monday Night RAW airs live on the USA Network every week at 8/7c. Replays of WWE RAW aren’t made available on the WWE Network until several weeks after the original air date. However, a 90-minute version of Monday Night RAW is available to stream on-demand the following day with a Hulu Plus subscription.
