Bob Saget Joins Carly Rae Jepsen Onstage To Sing ‘Fuller House’ Theme Song
Bob Saget is proving that he’s more than just an actor and a comedian. The TV funnyman hopped on stage with Carly Rae Jepsen during her concert in Milwaukee over the weekend to perform a duet of the famous theme song to the Full House spinoff, Fuller House. Saget and Jepsen could barely be heard as screaming fans went crazy when the actor took the stage for the surprise appearance. You can see the complete video of Bob Saget’s concert cameo below.
The timing was perfect for Bob Saget to surprise Fuller House fans with a rendition of the show’s beloved theme song. Saget was in Milwaukee performing a stand-up comedy show at the same time that Jepsen was in town for a concert, so he headed over to the concert hall.

Carly Rae Jepsen was picked to record the Fuller House theme song, “Everywhere You Look,” nearly 30 years after the original song was written and recorded by Jesse Frederick. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the “Call me Maybe” singer said she even worked with Frederick in the recording studio, and added that she tried to stay true to the original song while giving the iconic TV theme an updated sound.
“I was lucky enough to go in with the original writer. I was really excited, too, because they were doing a cover versus trying to make a song that seems like it. You want to be true to the original.”
Seeing Jepsen perform the famous song with Bob Saget was a huge surprise for fans of the Netflix revival series, which has already been renewed for a second season just days after the first season debuted on the streaming site. But for longtime followers of Saget, the fact that he got on stage to sing is no surprise at all. Bob Saget is known for putting music into his stand-up act. In an interview with Splitsider, Bob even admitted that music was his first love when he was younger.
“It used to be all music. When I was 11, I started taking really bad guitar lessons, and I continued to really excel, never getting good at it. I mean, I’m okay at it, I guess…But I like writing music and I love singing.”
Bob Saget even performed on Broadway in the show The Drowsy Chaperone. While he didn’t have a huge singing part in the stage musical, Saget said he is definitely still “a music guy.”
“I just love it. But my act used to be, when I started at 17 years old until I was about 25, I was a guitar act. I did comedy songs and music parodies and I used to sing ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ and water poured out of my guitar. I had a valve and turned it and water soaked my pants. It was a good close-up bit.”
Of course, Full House fans may also remember Saget’s character, Danny Tanner, singing a few times on the original show. Saget’s character famously performed the song “My Girl” on the hit ABC series, dedicating it to his daughter D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure). And he really tried to hit those high notes!
Now that the singing bug has bit Bob Saget again, maybe fans will have the chance to see him do some more crooning on the new season of Fuller House.
