Heather Miller, the woman who tried to use a black magic recipe to poison her hubby’s shepherd’s pie, is the next scandalous case to be featured on Oxygen’s Snapped . The Inquisitr has been bringing you some of the most bizarre true stories that have aired on the crime documentary. Heather Marie Miller was convicted of trying to kill her husband back in 2000. She is now free and will be telling her own story on Snapped .
The case of Heather Miller is filled with sex, lesbian threesomes, black magic, and murder. Well, almost murder. Had Heather’s friends not turned her into the police, Kevin Miller would not be alive today. He is grateful to be alive, but he also stood by his woman — even after police told him that his wife tried to poison him. But they say love is like that sometimes.
When Heather Miller first married Kevin Miller, it was a strong love — a deep love that they thought would last forever. But by the time the couple had bought a brand new house, they already had several children, and Heather was pregnant with another one. As if it couldn’t get any worse, Kevin Miller lost his job as a computer analyst, according to People .

And they say Kevin wasn’t the nicest man after he lost that job. In fact, the couple argued so much that even the neighbors were aware of it. Heather had become so depressed that she wasn’t even cleaning the house anymore, and she had started telling friends that she wanted out of the marriage.
One of her friends was a woman named Mindi, a witch who was well-versed in black magic. According to Heather, it was Mindi who had first planted the idea in her head to use a poison herb to get rid of him. Court records also show that Mindi also had been Heather’s part-time lesbian lover. So when Heather was ready to get rid of her husband, she felt pretty safe talking with Mindi about the plan. Turns out Mindi was one of the people to contact the police to tell them about the twisted plot.
Heather had planned to crush up some belladonna, a poisonous herb used in black magic to kill a person while making it look like a heart attack. The plot fell through after police arrested the wife and mother and used a secret tape with Heather’s voice on it as evidence.
But after all of that, Kevin Miller still didn’t believe the murder plot. A Pennsylvania jury did believe it and found Heather Miller guilty. She was sentenced to four and a half to 10 years in prison. Her loyal husband stuck by her during her incarceration. McCall , and People describe his dedication to his wife this way.
“Kevin Miller supported his wife throughout the trial. The couple held hands while entering the courtroom, and often embraced just before Heather Miller sat at the defense table. Throughout the case, Kevin Miller steadfastly refused to talk to reporters, even after the trial as he waited alone in the rain on Broad Street in Doylestown for a glimpse of his wife as she was led to the sheriff’s van.”
“‘I don’t know why, when he has been confronted with all this evidence, he still contends she didn’t mean to do it,’ says the prosecutor on the case, Bucks County Assistant District Attorney Michelle Henry . ‘She had in the past talked about cutting his brake line and hiring a hit man. She had a date, time, method and mode of how to do this. She got arrested on the way to pick up the belladonna. This was a plan in motion.’”
