NFL Cleveland Browns Officially Cut QB Johnny Manziel

Troubled QB Johnny Manziel has officially been cut by the Cleveland Browns after two years of legal drama and partying. The Browns believe that Manziel has not shown respect for the team or the game. The cut hardly comes as a shock to anyone who has been following Johnny Manziel in the news, as he has recently been the subject of a grand jury investigation.

TMZ broke the story that the Cleveland Browns made it official this morning via Twitter that they are severing their relationship with QB Johnny Manziel. It has been reported that the Browns had “grown weary of Manziel’s antics.” But Manziel doesn’t seem too concerned, as he has been partying with troubled Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Scott Disick, who has substance abuse issues himself, in Miami, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

According to the Washington Post , the deed is done, and the Browns cut Manziel officially this morning and announced it on social media. Manziel’s two years with the Cleveland Browns has been “a disaster.”

The Browns had been hinting that they would part ways with Manziel as soon as it was financially feasible. Manziel has been a handful for the Browns, spending 10 weeks in rehab and missing concussion check-ins with team doctors because he was gambling in Las Vegas. He was also caught up in legal drama with his girlfriend.

In late January, Manziel’s girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, reported to the police that Manziel hit her so hard that he ruptured her eardrum. The case is pending before a grand jury, which is determining the level of assault charges.

The New York Daily News is reporting that the Cleveland Browns don’t believe that Johnny Manziel is earning his keep, with the partying, gambling, and odd company he chooses. The Cleveland Browns have announced that Manziel is no longer welcome on their team. Between domestic violence and alcohol, Manziel is seen as unprofessional and troubled.

Colleen Crowley also told police that in addition to assaulting her (she claims she now suffered hearing loss), he has threatened to kill her and himself. Manziel has been known as a hard partier going back to his college days before the 2014 draft.

According to Radar Online , the final straw for the Cleveland Browns was when Manziel was videotaped smoking marijuana in a Miami club in late February. Witnesses in the club were filming Manziel with their phones, and the strong smell of marijuana caught their attention.

“We could smell the marijuana,” the insider said, insisting that the cigarette Manziel was smoking did not appear to be just tobacco.

Back in 2014, Manziel was arrested when police found cannabis and a vaporizer in his car.

Manziel was recently dropped by his agent, Erik Burkhardt, who said that all of the legal drama has left him unable to represent Manziel.

“It is with deep regret that, after several emotional and very personal discussions with his family, his doctors, and my client himself, I have made the decision to terminate my professional relationship with Johnny Manziel.”

With the Cleveland Brown’s decision to cut Manziel, fans assumed he would be upset, but he was spotted out partying again in the last 24 hours.

So you think Manziel has problems with addiction and can’t stop?
