‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Star Charlie Hunnam Takes To Social Media To Defend His Longtime Love Morgana McNelis

Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam recently took to the defense of his long-time girlfriend, Morgana McNelis. Following attacks against McNelis on social media, Hunnam had a special message posted on his Facebook fan page that hit back at those who have expressed their disapproval of his relationship with McNelis.

According to Social Lite Life, Hunnam does not currently have a social media account and had to send the message to Tina Lou, the person who administrates his fan page. In the email, Hunnam addressed his message to the “ladies of social media,” and he had a few strong words for those that have attacked his girlfriend.

“It has been brought to my attention that there is a group of immature girls posting a large number of harsh messages aimed at my longtime girlfriend,” Hunnam wrote. “I would respectfully ask you to stop doing this. She is an intelligent, beautiful, kind person who just tries to live a simple life and has nothing to do with the entertainment industry.”

Hunnam went on to explain the flawed logic behind the attacks against his girlfriends. At the same time, he assured his fans that McNelis is a great person who has stuck by his side long before he was rich and famous.

“I guarantee if you knew her you would feel very silly, as my girlfriend is one of the kindest, nicest, most virtuous people I have ever met,” he stated in the letter. “There is literally nothing about her or her behavior that deserves this type of condemnation.”

Just in case anyone thought Hunnam didn’t write the message, he later posted a video on Facebook confirming his comments. In the video, Hunnam thanked Lou for posting the letter and did not back down on anything he said.

“Hey guys. Last week I posted an extract from an email that was sent to us for the attention of “the ladies of social media” asking that these ladies respectfully stop with the extremely vile things being said about his lady,” Lou caption the video. “This Video is for them and other disbelievers who said the email was fake, also he gives his take on social media.”

Charlie Hunnam has been in a relationship with McNelis for a number of years. Although they haven’t officially tied the knot yet, the Daily Mail is reporting that the couple purchased a house in Hollywood Hills. In fact, the two were recently spotted out and about in L.A. shopping for furniture for their new home.

The public appearance was a rare one for Hunnam and McNelis, who tend to keep fairly private about their relationship. As far as their home is concerned, the house is estimated to be worth around $2.76 million and includes 3,200 square feet of living space.

Meanwhile, in speaking about her relationship with the Sons of Anarchy star, Parent Herald is reporting that McNelis believes the reason she and Hunnam have been able to keep their romance alive is because of the space they give each other and the fact that they are actively involved in each other’s lives.

“I think the key to maintaining a good balance is creating a safe space within the relationship for both partners in which to grow and evolve,” McNelis stated. “It’s very important to be present and participate in each other’s experiences so that falling in love doesn’t happen just once, it continues to happen over and over.”

Apart from McNelis, Hunnam was married to Katharine Towne but divorced her after three years of marriage. Hunnam has also been connected to Stella Parker, Sophie Dahl, Rashida Jones, and Georgina Townsley.

No wonder Charlie Hunnam was chosen to star in Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur, he really is a knight in shining armor!
