Christina Aguilera Throwing Tantrums On ‘The Voice,’ Xtina Jealous Over Gwen Stefani And Balke Shelton’s PDA Bonuses

The romance that blossomed between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani was a major storyline during The Voice last season. Now that Christiana Aguilera has replaced Stefani as a judge, things haven’t been going smoothly behind the scenes. While the real competition continues to take off this season, Aguilera is furious after producers offered an exclusive deal to Shelton and Stefani, who is acting as his mentor this year.

An inside source revealed to Radar Online that producers have offered the new couple another chance to display their love on the show. This includes Shelton and Stefani performing together and having more air time than is typical for a mentor on the show.

“Blake and Gwen are getting an interesting offer from the show’s execs,” the insider explained. “Producers want the two of them to give fans a full-on love-fest this season when she is a mentor on Team Blake, and they are going to throw in huge bonuses for exclusives, such as on-air duets, engagements, etc.”

While this new deal is exciting for fans, Aguilera is not happy about it. Not only is she angry about the special treatment, but reportedly she also wants Stefani completely off the show this season.

“Christina is furious!” the source stated. “Christina wants Gwen out of the picture and is already throwing mini-tantrums about it. She said that Gwen is ‘not vocally talented’ and would not be on the show at all anymore if it was not for her relationship with Blake.”

Shelton and Stefani were judges together on the show back in season 9. Aguilera then replaced Stefani as the sole female judge on the hit series. However, that didn’t stop Stefani from securing a spot, as Shelton later confirmed that she would be acting as his official mentor in season 10.

Clearly, Shelton wanted his new girlfriend back on the show. Not only does it offer him an opportunity to spend more time with Stefani on-set, but it’s also a huge ratings boost for the series. As far as Shelton is concerned, he doesn’t appear bothered by Aguilera’s outbursts.

“Blake really does not care what Christina does or says. He is a completely different person now because of Gwen, so much more laid-back. He said that he’s grateful the show is the reason that he and Gwen found each other.”

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the feud between Aguilera and Stefani has caused the former to re-think her future on The Voice. Although Aguilera hasn’t commented on the matter, she might be contemplating quitting the series all together. This is mainly due to all of the attention that Shelton and Stefani have received since the season 10 premiere.

That said, the contracts that Aguilera signed at the beginning of the season might prevent her from dropping out early. Whatever ends up happening between the two stars, it will be interesting to see what unfolds when The Voice goes live later this year. Will their feud erupt for all the world to see?

While it appears that Stefani and Aguilera are at odds with each other, Bustle is reporting that the two might be working on a new song together. Apparently, an inside source told the outlet that Stefani and Aguilera “would love to start recording something and get something out for this season of the show.”

Considering the news of a possible team up, it isn’t clear if the reports of a feud between the ladies is entirely accurate. In the end, the truth of the matter should reveal itself once the hit series goes live in the coming weeks.
