‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Spoilers: Former Contestant Made To ‘Look A Certain Way’ – Is The Show Racist?

The 2016 season of The Bachelor has not been filled with a ton of drama, but it has had its fair share from time to time. Ben Higgins did say “I love you” to multiple women, so that would have to be considered a bit dramatic. Still, there is a bit more drama and it comes from one woman who was eliminated earlier in the season, Jubilee Sharpe. She’s had some strong words and it’s even brought forth talk that The Bachelor may be a racist show.

Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the current season of The Bachelor starring Ben Higgins. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.

Jubilee Sharpe was eliminated on Episode 5 of the season which aired on Apr. 1, but she did make it into the final 11. There was some drama during the season, but things truly got heated on the “Women Tell All” special that just aired this week, and talk has caught fire once again.

As reported by Us Magazine, there was the very tense moment on the special which saw Jami Letain and Amber James go after Jubilee for bringing race into this season. She has referred to herself as the “real black girl,” and even allegedly used the “N-word” during this season.

The reason this struck a chord with those two ladies in particular is that both Amber and Jami identify themselves as biracial.

After the taping of the “Women Tell All” special, Jubilee admitted that she knew she would be a target on Monday.

“Obviously not the kind of attack that happened, but I definitely was expecting there to be things that I had to answer for and explaining that I had to do. I was one of the controversial people on this season, so I came in knowing I would be on the hot seat, and I was expecting hard questions. I was expecting people to want to hash out things that happened in the house — so yeah, I kind of expected it. But the content that was in it? That threw me off.”

Jubilee wasn’t done, though, and continued on to say that she will always own up to the things she says and does. She admitted saying she was “the full black girl in the house,” and she didn’t find that to be offensive at all.

“I don’t know if they really felt that strongly about it, or they felt the need to just harp on me.”

At that point, Jubilee continued on to say that Jami and Amber were purposely coming after her. She felts as if the duo were trying to “make me some type of way in front of people, and that’s how I felt — like, ‘We have to make her look a certain way in front of people.'”

Maybe she was just being honest and truthful, but Jubilee Sharpe had made a big statement.

As the decision on the next Bachelorette is coming soon, it is believed to be finalist Caila Quinn, but Romper states a lot of fans are now hoping for Jubilee to get the gig.

Even if ABC has already made up their mind about who will be the focus of the next season of The Bachelorette, they can’t help but take notice of the popularity and support that Jubilee Sharpe has recently received.

Most of the women are gone now, and it’s down to the final two for Ben Higgins to choose from on the season finale of The Bachelor. It’s going to be either Lauren Bushnell or JoJo Fletcher, but as hot as that decision will be, a lot of focus is on Jubilee Sharpe, alleged racism, and what’s going to happen from here.
