Hugh Hefner’s Wife Diagnosed With Lyme Disease, Son Cooper Throws Mud At Family Friend Donald Trump
Hugh Hefner’s wife, 29-year-old model Crystal Harris, recently revealed that she had been diagnosed with Lyme disease and said she has a “long road” ahead of her, according to the New York Daily News.
Ever since she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, Hugh Hefner’s wife has been spreading awareness of the dangerous condition, which is relatively hard to detect but easy to become infected with. In her heart-wrenching Instagram post shared on Sunday, the model explained that she doesn’t even remember being bitten or having a rash.
In the same post, the wife of Hugh Hefner, a well-known American playboy and adult magazine publisher, listed the symptoms of the tick-borne illness, saying that the disease can be hard to detect.
Harris, the third wife of Hugh Hefner, then went on to beg her Instagram followers to get tested, especially if they have been hiking recently. Lyme disease is transmitted by the bite of infected blacklegged ticks and is developed as a result of the growth of the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi in the body.
“Please please get tested. It is a disease so many people are living with and is becoming an epidemic.”
Symptoms of Lyme disease include poor sleep, fatigue, cognitive impairment, joint pain, mood swings, and muscle pain. If Lyme disease is undiagnosed and not treated timely, it spreads to the joints, the nervous system, and the heart.
In the same post, Hugh Hefner’s wife revealed she had been suffering from Lyme disease symptoms for a long time, but she misdiagnosed herself as a hypochondriac. It turns out her doctors were wrong all along, too.
“Doctors told me it was just ‘stress’ or ‘all in my head’ but I finally figured it out and you can too.”
Harris, who married 89-year-old Hugh Hefner in 2012 after dating him for over three years, is now part of the growing list of famous figures who have been diagnosed with Lyme disease. Celebrities such as Alec Baldwin and Ben Stiller are living with the disease.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster recently shared the news that her daughter Bella Hadid and son Anwar Hadid are suffering from the same disease she is.

In 2015, Avril Lavigne revealed she had a severe case of Lyme disease as well. The punk singer had to stay in bed for five months at the height of her illness.
Harris is not the only person in Hugh Hefner’s family who made headlines this week, as the Playboy mogul’s son Cooper Hefner made quite a few statements about U.S. presidential elections front-runner Donald Trump, according to Page Six.
Even though Trump appears to be Hugh Hefner’s family friend, it didn’t stop Cooper from throwing mud at the presidential candidate. Cooper thinks that Trump doesn’t care about the office of the president nor American citizens.
“He doesn’t care about anything other than Trump. Many already know this, but it’s important to point out that Trump loves Trump over all else. He loves what the presidential race can do for his brand. It’s as simple as that.”
Moreover, Hugh Hefner’s son went as far as comparing Trump to scandalous Alabama Gov. George Wallace, who went against the United States Supreme Court in 1963 and supported segregation. And Cooper believes that in case Trump takes over the office of the president, he will divide Americans and immigrants and take the U.S. back to “dark days.”

Trump has openly expressed his plans to ban and deport Muslim Americans as well as illegal immigrants, which is why his political campaign is even believed to be that of a “veiled white supremacist.” As said by Hugh Hefner’s son Cooper, such plans would take a massive step backwards towards the “political and social philosophies inherited from eras of slavery and gender inequality.”
“It seems that is Trump’s idea of making America great again.”
