Avril Lavigne And Chad Kroeger Romance Rumors Heat Up: Is The Divorce Off?

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger romance rumors are heating up once again. Does it mean the divorce is off for good, or are they just friends making music?

Thanks to an Instagram photo post by Lavigne of her and Kroeger in a recording studio, the rekindled romance rumors are on fire. Avril did not caption the photo of Chad and herself holding instruments in the studio, making the picture all that more interesting. She is certainly leaving the photo op open for interruption, and fans did just that. There are over a thousand comments on the picture that range from fans claiming the photo speaks for itself to others hoping the shot of Lavigne and Kroeger means they are back together.

This is not the first Instagram shot Avril has posted of herself and Chad since the couple announced they were separating back in September. She also posted a photo of her and Kroeger looking pretty cozy at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy party this past January. Lavigne captioned the shot “‘Grammy Party….. Feeling great. Lovely night.” Even though the picture is of Avril and Chad together, she once again does not mention anything about the two of them.

Even though neither Avril Lavigne nor Chad Kroeger are commenting on their romantic status, it is not really that odd that they would be seen together. About a month after Chad and Avril announced that they were separating, she shared on social media post that the duo were still writing music together. This time, however, Lavigne posted a solo photo of herself, revealing that she was writing with Kroeger that day. She then posted a throwback picture of him.

Although the romance rumors surrounding Avril and Chad seem to be in full force right now, it could simply be that the two really are still friends. When Lavigne announced her separation from Kroeger, she did say in the statement that the two “are still and forever will be the best of friends.” All of these recent social media posts and party sightings could simply mean that Chad and Avril really are just friends. It may not be the outcome a lot of fans hope for, but there might be some truth to it.

If the two are truly only friends, this would not be the first time Avril has remained on friendly with her ex. Lavigne is still on friendly terms with her ex-husband Deryck Whibley. Not only do the two of them still work together occasionally, but she showed her support for him after it was revealed that he almost died from alcoholism in 2014. Avril sent a tweet back then that referred to Derek as family and remarked how proud she was of him.

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger don’t seem to be too eager to explain the status of their relationship. It has been months since either of them has even commented on the divorce, despite the two of them spending a lot of time together recently. However, with the social media posts of them together getting more frequent and Avril and Chad appearing on the Red Carpet at the Grammy Awards together, speculation is now running wild about the couple. At this point, it is up to them to share what is really going on if they want to. Fans may be waiting awhile to find out if these two are a couple or a just a couple of buddies.
