DoD Whistleblower Scientist Reports Baffling ‘Blue Plasma’ UFO Sighting — MUFON Rates Witness ‘Extremely Credible’ [Video]

A scientist who works for the U.S. Department of Defense has joined the swelling ranks of high-profile personnel with links to the military and government agencies that have come forward in recent months with amazing UFO disclosures. The scientist recently filed a baffling “blue plasma” UFO sighting report — Case 74282 — with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), a U.S.-based non-profit organization that documents and investigates UFO sightings around the world.

The witness, considered an “extremely credible” witness, is reportedly an electromagnetic and laser systems expert who works as a contractor with the U.S. Department of Defense. He claims to have had a close encounter with a large “blue plasma” UFO (see YouTube below) in a wooded area during a recent hunting trip in Ontario, Canada. He told MUFON investigators that he has come forward to disclose his experience with the hope that others who saw the UFO would also come forward with relevant corroborating information. He also hopes that scientists with relevant experience in the field would be able to help him to unravel the UFO mystery.

The witness asked to remain anonymous because of the sensitive nature of his work with the defense department. But he gave a riveting account of his encounter with a “barbell-shaped” (telephone receiver- or dog bone-shaped) glowing UFO in a 40-minute video interview with MUFON investigators, including Robert Powell, Director of Research for MUFON and Philip Leech, Indiana MUFON State Section Director.

The YouTube includes a CGI model of the alleged UFO.

Powell and Leech had investigated the background of the witness for a “considerable time” before the video interview was released to the public. The investigators consider the witness an “extremely credible” scientist with expertise in advanced laser and electromagnetic systems technology.

The witness said he was on a hunting trip in a wooded area of Ontario, Canada, with two friends — who also asked to be anonymous — on August 28, 2013, when they spotted a mysterious UFO about 400 feet away from their position.

The sighting, which occurred at about 9:40 p.m., lasted a little more than 6 minutes.

The witness told MUFON, “We were driving down a logging route to the main highway when there was this craft at low enough altitude to see it through the windscreen. I would say it was at highest 150 to 175 feet in altitude. I grabbed my rifle scope out the pack, wound the window down and hung out the open side window to observe the craft.”

According to the witness, the UFO had a “brilliant brightness.” Leech’s account of the sighting on YouTube compared the brightness to “blue plasma.”

It hovered at an altitude of about 150 feet to 175 feet. The witness estimated its length at about 170 feet. The diameter at both ends of the “barbell shape” was about 60 feet, and the thickness about 21 feet.

“I have been involved in operating systems in the past and this thing was coherent light,” the witness commented.

Bringing his scientific training to bear, he said, “It was salty to the eyes to look at, like looking at a laser that had been passed through a diffraction grating or something of that nature.”

“It was not a focused laser, it was a defocused laser,” he concluded.

He said the UFO looked like it was “made out of a forged piece of mercury.”

The witness, who also claimed to be a pilot, said that as he observed the UFO, he searched for details of the design that could give a clue about its nature. But the features he detected only increased the mystery.

“It was brilliant in polish,” he said. “There were absolutely no lines, no rivets. I’m a pilot so was looking for all things you would see on an aircraft, I was looking for lines in the fuselage that would indicate a door or landing equipment.”

He said that as he and his companions watched the UFO in shock, one of them suggested that he fire a shot with his gun at it. But he refused, saying he could not shoot at something he could not identify.

He said that while the sighting lasted, someone tried to snap a picture of it, but fumbled with his camera until the craft was about a quarter of a mile away.

But the witness was able to record an “electromagnetic signature” from the craft.

When asked what he thought about the origin of the craft, he declined to assert that it was of extraterrestrial origin. He said it could have been a top-secret experimental craft being tested by a government agency or the military.

But he was not aware that any government agency or the military was working on a high-tech craft of such nature. He was baffled by the nature of the propulsion mechanism of the craft.

He called for anyone who saw the craft to come forward. He also said he would like to consult specialists as part of efforts to unravel the mystery of the UFO.

The latest sighting comes soon after a U.S. Navy whistleblower filed a report with MUFON, in which he claimed that while he served in the navy in the 1980s as a third-class petty officer and later as a senior officer in the US Army and with the Navy Seals, he handled top-secret files and saw hundreds of classified photos of aliens and UFOs.

He also claimed that he was able to obtain information from a senior colleague about the famous 1980 Rendlesham Forest UFO sighting that occurred in the U.K. He said the information he obtained from the senior officer was not available to public but could shed new light on the mysterious incident often referred to as Britain’s Roswell.
