Alexa Vega Sheds Clothes, And Child Image, For New Role
Remember Alexa Vega? The cute little girl from Spy Kids? Well, if you do, her latest movie might erase that memory. The 23-year-old actress sports a slightly different look as Killjoy in Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming Machete Kills.
IMDB summarizes the movie, writing:
“The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.”
Alexa Vega joins a long list of beautiful women in the new movie (Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba and Vanessa Hudgens will also appear in Machete Kills) but she’s the one who’s turning heads.
Why? Vega has starred in dozens of projects over the last decade but people still remember her as Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids. Her latest role, however, could change that.
Strangely enough, Vega isn’t the only person who has come a long way since her hit 2001 movie. Machete Kills director Robert Rodriguez was behind the kids’ action flick and, well, Rodriguez has gone on to slightly more adult projects. Rodriguez is better known now for movies like Sin City and Machete, although he did direct a new Spy Kids movie in 2011. And yes, Vega appeared in that movie too.
Vega is currently filming Machete Kills with Rodriguez and the actress sent out a stunning photo from the set.
