Holly Madison Speaks Freely About Breastfeeding Again, Even Though She Hates It
Holly Madison may be best-known for her days as Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend and a Playboy model, but now she is a mom of a little girl named Rainbow with another one on the way. Holly is now speaking out and wants the world to know her thoughts on breastfeeding. She may not love it, but Holly is going to do it all over again with her new baby. E! Online shared a blog post that Holly Madison wrote herself to share her thoughts on this important matter.

Holly started out by revealing that she hates breastfeeding. She is aware that this might not be a popular opinion, but it is how she feels. Madison made a huge goal with her daughter, Rainbow, to do it until she was 4-months-old and then stop. Holly had personal things going on at that point and knew that breastfeeding her little girl would be hard while traveling, but she made it to that four month mark and was proud of herself for it.
When Holly thinks back to breastfeeding her daughter, Rainbow, she shares a very vivid description that so many moms can relate to if they have breastfed.
“I think back on the time I spent breastfeeding my first child, a vision of me comes to mind as a bedridden, wild beast with matted hair, surrounded by wadded up Kleenex and various stray breast pump pieces next to the most cluttered nightstand imaginable. I’m wearing pajamas I’ve been in for days (I haven’t had time to shower) and my right hand is curled into a postpartum, carpal tunnel syndrome induced, useless claw as I attempt to prop my baby up with my forearm.”
Holly Madison also shared that even though she supports breastfeeding in public, it is not something that is easy for her and it made her feel uncomfortable. Holly only did it one time and would avoid it at all costs. This pretty much left her at home, in bed and catching up on Mad Men while she breastfed Rainbow. A lot of moms can relate to not getting out of the house much during this time in their life and Holly is about to do it all over once again with her second child. Holly does admit to using formula sometimes to supplement and at the end went on to explain whatever is best for the mother and child is the best.
“At the end of the day, as long as a child is safe, nourished and loved, who are we to judge breast vs. bottle? Making sure your child is fed is the goal, not beating yourself up because you aren’t doing it the ‘best’ or trendiest way possible.”
Us Magazine revealed in January that Holly Madison was pregnant with her second child. Their daughter, Rainbow is now almost 3-years-old. Now that Holly Madison isn’t on television, she is still keeping busy. Holly did the show Peep Show in Las Vegas and is now busy being a mom. She also is now working on a TV show based on Down the Rabbit Hole and will release a second book, Vegas Diaries, this spring. Her fans can’t wait to hear what she has to say in her new book. Holly has seemingly moved on since her days at the Playboy mansion.
