Ben Higgins Teases ‘Bachelor’ Spoilers: Final Rose Recipient Put ‘Through Hell And Back,’ But Pair Is Stronger Than Ever Now
Viewers of ABC’s The Bachelor 2016 season soon will be seeing Ben Higgins present his final rose to either Lauren Bushnell or JoJo Fletcher. During the overnight dates in Episode 9, he told both ladies he loved them, and Bachelor spoilers are teasing that there is major heartbreak ahead during the finale due to air on March 14. Higgins has revealed that he is in love and engaged, but now he is also opening up about some of the difficulties the couple has faced since those overnight dates.
Ben shares with Us Weekly that there have been some “tough conversations” with his fiancée since that Jamaican rose presentation and proposal. Reality Steve’s Bachelor spoilers have already revealed whether it is Lauren or JoJo who gets that last rose, ring and proposal, but viewers will have to wait and see if those teasers are correct. However, Higgins says that there have been some challenging moments with his love as a result of those feelings he expressed in Jamaica.
“I put her through hell and back. We continue to move forward because we continue to communicate. She’s been supportive and loving, and ultimately we’re going to get through it. We have gotten through it.”
The Bachelor star explains that his fiancée has approached watching this season the same way that some other winners have gone in past seasons. Higgins says that she has watched a lot of the episodes, but there are some things she has chosen not to view. Ben admits there has been some friction over his close moments with other bachelorettes, but he would not change having told both Lauren and JoJo that he loved them.

Luckily, Ben did not leave his fiancée to find out about that other “I love you” on her own. He tells Glamour that he actually told her as soon as filming ended. As many Bachelor fans know, the happy couple usually gets to spend a few days together after last rose has been shared so they can relish their relationship without the cameras around, and that was the case for this pair as well.
“I told her what happened because we’re a team now. Teams have to communicate, couples have to communicate. I knew how much she meant to me, and I didn’t want to do anything without her knowing it. So I was very open with her about what happened during this experience as soon as she was ready and wanted to hear it, and she has been supportive just like a good partner would.”
While the Bachelor star admits that it has not always been easy for the two to navigate the aftermath of filming, Higgins notes that his fiancée has always been caring, loving, and supportive. Ben adds that he believes the show provides the opportunity to find love, and he did. He is honest about having navigated some tough moments since that proposal, but fans are thrilled that the couple has stuck together. Reality Steve’s Bachelor spoilers do note that Ben and his lady are still together and engaged, just as the star himself has said.
