‘The Bachelor’ Winner Lauren Bushnell Engaged To Ben Higgins, But Is He Still In Love With JoJo Fletcher?

Ben Higgins’ run on The Bachelor has almost reached its end. While audiences have another few weeks to wait until the season finale, Higgins couldn’t contain his excitement about his final pick. With that in mind, which contestant did Higgins propose to in the finale?

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the final two contestants are Lauren Bushnell and JoJo Fletcher. While this doesn’t come as a complete surprise to many fans, Higgins did break an unsaid rule of The Bachelor when he told Bushnell and Fletcher that he loved them.

Higgins’ confessions left both women feeling as though they were the final pick. For Higgins, People is reporting that he just couldn’t hold his feeling back any longer despite the potential fallout of his choice.

“I’ve held a lot back for a long time now,” he stated. “I’m ready to say it, I’m ready to announce what’s going on, what happened. I can’t help but say I’m very much in love! …I don’t know if there is a rulebook. If there is, nobody gave it to me!”

While it hasn’t been officially confirmed, Celeb Dirty Laundry is reporting that Higgins picked Bushnell over Fletcher in the finale. However, considering how he told them both that he loved them, will Bushnell decide to marry him in the end? If she does, then how long will they last once she discovers Higgins’ love for Fletcher?

Apparently, Higgins’ decision was not made lightly. In fact, Higgins changed his mind several times prior to filming the final rose ceremony of The Bachelor. This is largely due to the fact that he was in love with both women and is also why there is a lot of doubt about the longevity of his relationship with Bushnell.

Even more, it is unclear if Higgins made his decision with the utmost of confidence. His mother may have influenced his decision to some extent, which is definitely not going to sit well with Bushnell.

At the same time, it isn’t clear if Higgins still loves Fletcher. After all, given how much Higgins is in love with both women, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he still harbors feelings for her. Either way, Bushnell and Higgins will have plenty of issues to work through if they want their relationship to stand the test of time.

For her part, Bushnell is apparently not thrilled with the idea of Higgins going back and forth so much. In fact, the flight attendant had been led to believe that she was Higgins’ number one choice throughout the season. Whether or not Bushnell will be able to look past this oversight is yet to be seen.

Despite the ups and downs, Higgins went on to add that his future wife accepted his proposal. Not only that, but she is apparently fully supportive of his decisions on the show, including telling someone else that he loved them.

“She has been supporting and loving, just like a good partner would!” Higgins stated.

That being said, it has yet to be officially confirmed if Higgins chose Bushnell over Fletcher. Even if the reports turn out to be true, there is a chance that Higgins could end up with Fletcher either way. In fact, this wouldn’t be the first time that a runner-up ended up with the man in the end. Back in Season 13, Jason Mesnick split with Melissa after the season finale and married Molly, who finished second place.

In the end, fans will need to tune into The Bachelor finale to find out what unfolds between Higgins and the last remaining women.
