‘The Bachelor’ 2016 Spoilers – Host Chris Harrison ‘Shocked’ By What Ben Higgins Has Done
The 2016 season of The Bachelor is almost over, Episode 9 is actually airing tonight, and once again, it has been a season full of drama. The overnight dates are happening and Ben Higgins is said to send one more woman home to take it down to the final two before next week’s “Women Tell All” special. As the season has progressed, host Chris Harrison has been doing his job, but he’s also been rather “shocked” by some of the things that Ben has allowed himself to do.
Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the new season of The Bachelor starring Ben Higgins. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.
On the overnight dates, it’s been said that Ben Higgins actually spends the night with each of the three women in the Fantasy Suite. He is rumored to be “intimate” with each and every single one of them; but, of course, that has not been officially revealed.
Chris Harrison has already said the he felt as if Ben Higgins was “not gentleman enough” on the overnight dates. This is mostly due to the fact that while on those dates, Higgins ends up telling two different women “I love you.”Those women end up being the two finalists, JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell, as Caila Quinn is sent home. Ben has since said that he has regretted telling both of them those incredibly heartfelt and important words, but they were true.
Chris Harrison is still not sure how Ben Higgins was able to get to the point he did with two women. He said that arriving at the point of love with two women was something totally unexpected, according to Hollywood Life.
“I was a little bit shocked that he really did get there with two women.
“It’s not something you can script. It just doesn’t work like that and he’s just not that good of an actor. It really just was something that happened and it took us all a little bit by surprise.”
Many have claimed, or tried to say, that The Bachelor is scripted and that contestants are told what to do or who to pick. ABC continues to say that it is total reality television and that is why Harrison has said that situations like that just can’t be written.
Parade continues on to report that Chris Harrison ended up having even more to say about Ben Higgins and some of the things he’s done this season.
When asked about the season finale coming in two weeks, executive producer Mike Fleiss had said this is going to be the biggest yet for The Bachelor. That’s when Chris Harrison goes on to compare Ben Higgins to Jason Mesnick, the bachelor in Season 13.“And then in the finale, obviously, you’ve seen how emotional Ben gets – he does pull at least a 3/4 Mesnick. He is that emotional. He really narrowed it down to two women that he loves and he is trying to make this decision. He knows that he’s going to hurt somebody and he knows that he’s going to lose somebody he cares about, so it is really moving. I think people are going to love it.”
For those that may not know or don’t remember, Jason Mesnick actually changed his mind in season 13 on After the Final Rose. The world was shocked and now, many wonder if the same thing could be happening with Ben Higgins in this season.
Anything is still possible to happen, as many things can still be said next week on the “Women Tell All” special. Yes, Ben Higgins has already made his choice, but the season finale still has to come and so does the after-show.
The 2016 season of The Bachelor is almost over and Ben Higgins has already made his choice, but there has been a lot that led up to it. Host Chris Harrison may not agree with or think a lot about some of the moves that he has made, but love is love and knows that it can make people do strange things.
