Kanye West Planning To Pop The Question To Kim Kardashian?
According to celebrity sources close to the couple, Kanye West is planning on popping the question to Kim Kardashian before the ink even has a chance to dry on her divorce documents.
Kim Kardashian’s divorce from Kris Humphries isn’t finalized yet, but that’s about the only thing standing between Kanye West and his plans to ask Kim to marry him, according to Perez Hilton. Their relationship has already surpassed Kim’s 72-day marriage to Humphries, and that’s confirmation enough for the 35-year-old rapper to begin talks with his personal jeweler to design an engagement ring reportedly using diamonds and rubies from his late mother’s collection, reports the Huffington Post.
“Donda was such an important person in Kanye’s life, he thought the world of her and was devastated when she died,” reveals one source. “So, he kept all her jewelry as keepsakes – a lot of the pieces were items he bought over the years after he made it as a hip-hop star. And now, Kanye has found a woman he respects and loves just as much as his mom, so he wants to share her jewelry collection with Kim.”
Still, not all of Kanye’s friends think the unique idea is a very good one. If they break up, Kim will have his mother’s jewels forever:
“His friends think it’s a terrible idea and are advising him not to give Kim the ring. Because it’s a gift, it would be difficult for Kanye to ask for it back if they ever split up. They’ve also reminded him that Kim is not somebody who works hard for her money. She makes millions doing reality shows and selling her image, and Donda’s jewelry shouldn’t be part of that image.”
Kanye’s proposal to Kim is reportedly pending the finalization of her divorce from Kris Humphries. Though he’s anxious to get a marriage going with Kim, and their relationship is progressing quickly, the reality TV starlet filed for divorce back in October, and the former couple are no closer to a finalized divorce now than they were then. Depositions are ongoing and there isn’t even a trial date set. Still, the heart wants what the heart wants.
“Kanye knows Kim is the one,” said one source. According to IBT, the two may even elope after the “divorce mess is done and over with Kris.”
