Taylor Swift Slips Into Her Sexiest Red Carpet Style Yet: Check It Out

Taylor Swift has been taking a much-deserved break after embarking on her 1989 World Tour and picking up Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. But that doesn’t mean the pop star is taking a break on her red carpet style.

Taylor Swift is hosting this year’s Met Gala in May, so she has to work on perfecting her style. The usually modest and humble singer stepped out in one of her sexiest red carpet looks yet. Swift, 26, wore a dangerously sexy black gown at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party on Sunday night, Feb. 28.

Her red carpet look kind of rivaled Jennifer Lawrence, who flashed some major skin in a black Alexander Wang two-piece number that featured a bandeau top and maxi skirt with a dangerously high slit. Why can’t these two become BFFs?

The singer took control of the red carpet by wearing a black Alexandre Vauthier evening gown, which featured both a plunging neckline and a high slit. Sure, it showed off a lot of skin at once, but somehow Tay Tay managed to pull the seductive look off. She paired her look with a thick gold choker, gold Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and a matching Jimmy Choo clutch. Taylor also showed off her freshly chopped bob, which she debuted at the 2016 Grammys.

Her blonde hair was just as chic as her red carpet look. Swift’s hair was styled straight with a slight curl at the ends. Meanwhile, she kept her makeup simple with white shadow, black liner, and black mascara. Swift pulled her mod and doe-eyed look together with a swipe of coral lipstick.

Swift didn’t attend the event with her boyfriend DJ Calvin Harris. Instead, she was there with best friends Lorde and Selena Gomez, and her brother, Austin Swift. The “Royals” singer wore a high-neck embellished top with a sheer black tulle skirt that showcased her legs, as well. Lorde accessorized her look with a black clutch and a short wavy bob.

Selena Gomez arrived in a slinky silver evening gown, smoky eyes, and pin-straight hair. She completed her look with a matching silver clutch and black stilettos. Later that night, Gomez was seen schmoozing with Anne Hathaway on her Snapchat account.

Taylor Swift didn’t just party with her BFFs at the Oscars after-party. She made sure to rub elbows with plenty of A-listers, including Oscars winner Brie Larson. The actress dished about her big night out with Swift’s squad on LIVE With Kelly & Michael.

Kelly asked Brie if she stayed up all night with Taylor and Lorde, and she joked that there was no way she could keep up with them. While there aren’t any photos of the two partying together, it’s been reported in the Hollywood Life that they met up at the Vanity Fair party.

The reason why Taylor Swift is suddenly sexing up her red carpet style could be linked to her red-hot romance with Calvin Harris. The couple, referred to as “Tavyin” by fans, will be celebrating their one-year anniversary soon. The moment that Swift and Harris first met was at the 2015 Elle Style Awards, where the lovebirds were introduced by Ellie Goulding. It was previously assumed that the pair met at the 2015 Brit Awards.

Music producer Max Will took to Instagram to share a photo of Tay Tay playing with her hair and checking out Cal along with the caption: “tbt Last February’s #ellestyleawards when I snapped @elliegoulding introducing @taylorswift to @calvinharris for the first time (with a cameo by @samsmithworld) Happy anniversary, you two kids! 2/24/15 #taylorswift #calvinharris #elliegoulding #samsmith”

The couple then made their first public appearance at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, but haven’t made any more public appearances due to their conflicting schedules. Harris did join Swift after the Grammy after parties, and the couple celebrated even more so at home.
