Gwen Stefani Giggles While Talking About Blake Shelton ‘Popping The Question’

Gwen Stefani made quite the showing during her recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. While the two talked about Stefani’s newest album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, the most hilarious part of the interview came when Blake Shelton entered the conversation. In fact, Stefani could hardly control her giggling reflex when DeGeneres questioned her about Shelton and how he popped the big question.

According to E! Online, the interview started off innocent enough with the topic of conversation centered on Stefani’s new album. Interestingly, Stefani wrote the majority of the songs on her new album as recent as last month. This is the same time that her relationship with Shelton started to ramp up, which is probably why some of the songs are about him.

Naturally, it didn’t take long before DeGeneres jumped right in to Gwen Stefani’s love life. For starters, DeGeneres displayed a number of photos of Stefani and Shelton, including an image of her sitting on his lap during a pre-Grammy party.

“I thought it would be a good idea not to talk about Blake, to see what would happened…” Stefani said, trying to steer the conversation away from Shelton.

“Okay,” DeGeneres replied. “Let’s just look at pictures then.”

While the images cycled through, Stefani took things in stride. However, she couldn’t stop giggling as DeGeneres continued to question her.

“They didn’t have enough chairs at that event?” DeGeneres playfully asked. “You had to sit on Blake’s lap?”

“I love you,” Stefani replied, unable to contain her smiles. “I love you,” DeGeneres answered.

DeGeneres then talked about Stefani’s time on The Voice while also kidding around about all of the wedding rumors that have surfaced in recent weeks. In particular, DeGeneres made a play on words when she referenced the reports of a wedding and Shelton asking her to be a mentor on The Voice.

“When he popped the big question — about you being his mentor — how did he do that?” DeGeneres asked her.

Stefani avoided the question and attempted to get the interview back on track, which didn’t exactly go as planned. “I want to be on that show as much as possible,” Stefani explained about her decision to be a mentor next season. “It’s just… I got so much out of it.”

Of course, DeGeneres couldn’t help but poke fun at Stefani’s comments, hinting at her steamy relationship with Shelton on the show. To her credit, Stefani continued to laugh and giggle her way through it all without giving too much away.

“This show is, like…I just come on and giggle and laugh,” Stefani added. “It’s so embarrassing.”

All jokes aside, Stefani’s relationship with Shelton is definitely starting to heat up. According to ET Online, Shelton recently spent some time with Stefani at her youngest son’s birthday party. Not only has Shelton won over Stefani, but he is now on great standing with her children.

“[They had their] arms around one another, and [gave each other] little kisses on the cheek. Blake was very hands-on with the kids, playing and walking around with them.”

With the couple ready to take their relationship to new levels, it is unclear if they are planning on marrying each other any time soon. Considering how they are both coming off divorces in the last year, there is some uncertainty about their willingness to exchange vows so quickly.

Whatever ends up happening, fans will likely see more of Stefani and Shelton in the coming weeks. In addition to any future posts on social media, Stefani will make an appearance as Shelton’s mentor when the new season of The Voice premieres on NBC.
