Bobby Brown Allegedly Enters Rehab, Expecting Another Child
Singer Bobby Brown had a rough year last year after losing his daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Now, the singer has reportedly entered rehab to battle an ongoing cocaine and alcohol addiction amid the news that his wife is expecting another child.
New York Daily News reports that someone close to Brown, who wishes to remain anonymous, stated that, “Bob is in rehab.” The “Don’t Be Cruel” singer is reportedly in a rehab center in California, although his lawyer denied the claims. Yet, when the attorney was questioned whether Brown was being treated for substance abuse, he didn’t answer but simply said that the singer has a concert on March 4 in Charleston, South Carolina.

If Brown truly is in rehab, it doesn’t come as a surprise to most people who’ve followed his personal life. In the past, Browne admitted to abusing alcohol and drugs, even claiming that his former wife Whitney Houston introduced to him to cocaine.
In August, 2012, after seven years of being clean, Brown checked himself into rehab for substance and alcohol abuse. Six months later, he was arrested in Los Angeles for driving under the influence. He plead “no contest” and was sentenced to undergo 18 months at an inpatient rehabilitation facility. He was also required to serve 55 days in jail for the offense but was released within nine hours after turning himself in.
Brown’s current wife, Alicia Etheridge, responded to an email regarding her husband’s rehab treatment. Although she confirmed in the email that she didn’t represent Brown, she didn’t answer whether he’s currently in rehab or not. However, the undisclosed source stated that Brown started treatment at the insistence of his wife, who’s pregnant with her third child from the singer. The new baby marks Brown’s seventh child.

Meanwhile, Brown’s sister, Leolah Brown, announced earlier this month that she’s writing a “tell-all” about Bobbi Kristina Brown, who passed away last July after lying in a vegetative state for six months. Leolah, who insisted that Bobbi Kristina was set up to be murdered, stated that her new book is “well worthy of the wait” and will reveal everything revolving around her niece’s death, as well as Whitney Houston’s death.

Brown himself stated that he’s also in the process of writing an autobiography, which will include the ups and downs of his life as a singer, as well as his tumultuous personal life and insight on his time spent with daughter Bobbi Kristina and ex-wife Houston. Last year, he said that the writing process has helped him deal with pain and has become even therapeutic to him.
“I was surprised by how therapeutic it was to work on this project, to look at the entire arc of my life and to realize that although there has been considerable pain, I have also been incredibly blessed. I hope my fans and other readers of this book will be entertained by this trip into the crazy, exciting, fascinating world of Bobby Brown. And I hope that they will feel that I have been as honest and open with them in these pages as I have tried to be my entire life.”
The memoir, entitled My Prerogative and co-written by journalist Nick Chiles, has a tentative release date of July 16. However, if Bobby Brown is truly in rehab, the schedule for the book release may be pushed back.
