Mindy Kaling posted a picture on Instagram about how she gets ready for her big night. Spanx and deodorant were on top of the list for Mindy. Well, what woman hasn’t had that moment where you could only look a bit thinner than you already are and perhaps sweat slightly less than you already do? That’s right. Big nights are just not the time or the place to look fat or sweat. Mindy Kaling’s Instagram picture speaks to all the women. Hats off!
The photo had 74 thousand likes and over two thousand comments. The photo had the caption “Awards Show prep. America’s sweetheart.” Fans showed admiration for her picture by posting several comments.
One of them said: “Dude I wear those shorts all the time so I can wear skirts without my thighs rubbing together lol.”
Another went: “could she be any more awesome?!”. We agree, Mindy Kaling is indeed pretty awesome. Such honest display of what it means to actually get ready for an awards night drives home a very important message: those movie stars did not wake up looking like that. No wonder several women were thanking Kaling for putting up such an honest picture.
Later that night, Mindy Kaling was seen at the Costume Designers Guild Awards in a Salvador Perez dress. She looked gorgeous in her dress, especially because her fans had been given a sneak peek into her dressing-up process, the Huffington Post said.
She posted a picture of herself at the award show captioned “Presenting at the #costumeawards. #TheMindyProject loves fashion and the artists in this guild. Thanks to @salvadorperezcostumes for this gown and congrats on a great night! Hair and makeup by @laroccaskincare and@cindy_j_williams, who glammed me up after being on set with me for 10 hours. Mindy Kaling expressed her love for Cate Blanchett on Twitter, saying she loved her and wanted to wrap her arms around her “small alabaster shoulders.” That is as cute as Mindy can get!

She later said something that makes us love Mindy even more! As she was presenting the award for Outstanding Period Television Series, Kaling said she was the one who’s won the award before joking, “Oh, I’m getting a text. OK, Cate Blanchett is getting that award,” according to the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail said that the comedian visited her L.A. apartment where she lived a decade ago when she was starting out in the showbiz. She shared a picture of the property and captioned it as follows.
The Mindy Project will return to Hulu after it was cancelled by Fox. The channel cancelled it for the second half of its fourth season.
But Mindy is planning on doing a lot of other stuff to keep herself busy. She revealed that she and B.J. Novak, her boyfriend, are writing a book of essays together, which reportedly landed her a $7.5 million publishing deal.
Mindy’s memoir Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) was published in 2011, and her second book Why Not Me? came out in September.
