‘The Walking Dead’s’ Norman Reedus Fights Hoverboard Zombies On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ [Video]
The Walking Dead has featured Norman Reedus as one of the most intense and skilled zombie fighters in all of the genre’s history for six seasons now. But he had his work cut out for him when he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and was forced to battle it out with zombies on hoverboards – in character as Daryl Dixon.
What is immediately clear about the “preview scene,” as Jimmy Kimmel described it before airing it, is that the clip was supposed to be based in the real Walking Dead universe. But when Dixon was in search of items for scavenging inside a parking garage, he got more than he bargained for when he discovered that zombies had graduated from Walkers to Gliders.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Reedus never broke character in the clip, and he was especially funny to watch when he first encountered the hoverboard zombies. The look on his face was priceless, and his reaction, albeit the same as he would do for any zombie, was immediate carnage. He even seemed to be excited about the adventure, gearing up his crossbow and taking out the zombies one by one.

The Walking Dead’s Dixon did have to make a break for it when they started to crowd him in. One thing that fans of The Walking Dead know is that the core group of heroes can easily take out Walkers in singles, or even when they are spread out. But when a herd descends on them, that’s when they’re in real danger.
So just like in The Walking Dead, Reedus’ Dixon had to make a run for it when they started crowding him in. But that run didn’t last for long, because once he hit a flight of stairs, he made it up about three of them before he turned around and saw that the idiot zombies could not get off of their hoverboards and chase him up the steps.
The Walking Dead faux scene was poetically reminiscent of modern society, seeming to make fun of people who use the devices by essentially calling them too lazy to get off of them and walk for themselves.
But once the fake Walking Dead scene was over, Norman Reedus joined Jimmy Kimmel at the desk, and they went over a few topics in relation to off-duty tasks as a star on the show. Some of those tasks include going to Walking Dead fan conventions in America and London.

Kimmel could not help but ask Norman Reedus about the one thing that was big news a couple of months ago. At a Walking Dead fan convention, a woman asked to take a picture with Reedus, and when they were done, he said that she started to “change into a werewolf,” comically doing an impersonation of what the fan lady did just before she raised her face and bit him on the chest.
But Norman Reedus was not really hurt by the incident, with the exception of teeth marks left on his chest. He went as far as to say that he understands the hype and excitement himself.
Reedus detailed a time when he was on a plane and saw Martin Short but could not muster up the courage to speak with him. Instead, he said he took a picture of the back of his head.

The Walking Dead star also detailed the way he travels, especially when he flies out of Atlanta. Reedus said that he still has the fake blood on him when he is going through security at the airport, and it is quite funny when people stare at him for it.
