Man Of Steel Teasers Released: Superman Takes Flight [VIDEO]
Superman takes flight in two teasers that have just been released for the new Man of Steel reboot, set to come out next year.
Two teasers for the long-awaited Superman reboot, Man of Steel, have been released for the viewing public online. Hollywood Reporter notes that both trailers feature the same overall footage, only differing in the voice over monologues highlighting advice being given to our future Superman, Kal-El/Clark Kent, by his fathers.
In one of the Man of Steel teasers, the voiceover is done by Kevin Costner as Superman’s adoptive Earth father, Jonathan Kent:
“One day, you’re going to have to make a choice. You have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be. Whoever that man is, good character or bad, it’s going to change the world.”
The second’s voiceover is done by Russell Crowe as the Man of Steel’s biological Kryptonian father, Jor-El:
“You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They’ll raise behind you. They will stumble. They will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.”
The Examiner makes mention that the Man of Steel reboot does not try to pick up where the original Superman movie starring Christopher Reeves left off in the way Superman Returns did. Instead, it will retell the origins of the Man of Steel, much the way Christopher Nolan did to Batman with The Dark Knight.
The teasers will be shown during The Dark Knight Rises in theaters.
