Adrienne Maloof’s Ex-Husband Paul Nassif Being Investigated Over Child Abuse

Adrienne Maloof made an appearance on this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . It is clear that Adrienne still plays a big role in Kyle Richards’ life, as they went out to lunch to talk about Kim Richards and her problems. And during the lunch, Maloof revealed that things were better than ever between herself and Paul Nassif. However, it sounds like things are heating up a bit between these two. According to a new Radar Online report, Adrienne Maloof may be reconsidering her working relationship with her ex-husband, as he is now being investigated.

The report reveals that Paul Nassif is being investigated by the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services. There have been rumors in the past about his violent behavior, but it sounds like the threats are serious this time. The allegations involve the couple’s three children, Gavin, 12, and twin sons, Colin and Christian, 6. Apparently, it was Nassif’s former bodyguard, Kevin Villalobos, who is now speaking out. In his resignation letter, Kevin drops a bombshell.

“I could not silently standby while you hit and injured your children in angry outbursts,” Kevin revealed in the letter, which was sent to both Paul and his ex-wife Adrienne Maloof.

Paul has always denied any accusations of child abuse and he ended up suing his former bodyguard for defamation over the claims. However, the lawsuit didn’t seem to change things at all, and Paul is still under investigation.

“Kevin Villalobos called DCFS and made a formal complaint, alleging child abuse, including verbal and physical claims. The agency is mandated to open an investigation,” a source has revealed, adding, “There doesn’t seem to be any basis for the allegations. The investigation involving Paul is ongoing but will likely be closed with no further action.”

Even though Paul and Adrienne Maloof are now divorced, it sounds like Adrienne isn’t out of the woods. Apparently, one of her relatives is also under investigation for some verbal abuse. While Paul has been painted as a villain during their public divorce, it sounds like Maloof’s family members aren’t exactly the picture perfect family members.

“The allegation was specific to verbal abuse,” an insider said, adding, “It’s a male family member. This as well, will likely be closed with no findings to support the claim.”

This isn’t the first time that Adrienne Maloof’s ex-husband has been the victim of these claims. Adrienne’s former chef didn’t say positive things about Paul, and he isn’t exactly thrilled about the negative publicity.

“Paul is a dedicated dad, and is fully cooperating with the investigation. He has nothing to hide,” a source said in his defense.

According to People magazine, a family lawyer has revealed that it isn’t uncommon for family members to spread stories about one another to gain the upper hand in custody battles. While Adrienne Maloof has never said anything herself, many sources close to her have dished out stories about Paul.

“You see this routinely in L.A.,” said certified family law specialist, Steve Mindel of Feinberg, Mindel, Brandt & Klein, LLP, who is not involved in the case. “More often than not people get so wound up in winning that they forget about the collateral damage to their relationships, to their children, their in-laws and support systems.”

Maloof did tell Kyle that things were better than ever before and that they are now working on a beauty product together. Surely, Adrienne wouldn’t be doing this if she was indeed questioning her ex-husband’s temper and violence towards their children.
