Ronda Rousey Talks Nude ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Photo Shoot, Intimate Body Part That Got Painted

Ronda Rousey agreed to strip down for her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover, but getting nude in front of strangers wasn’t the most awkward aspect of her SI photo shoot experience. According to Ronda, she had to let an artist get uncomfortably close to a very intimate part of her anatomy while prepping for her swimsuit issue cover.

The MMA fighter wasn’t asked to pose completely nude for her photo shoot — she got to keep her naughty bits covered with a generous amount of body paint. However, getting suited up with her intricate swimsuits was an uncomfortable experience, and Rousey revealed that there was one area of her body that she really didn’t enjoy having painted during the 14 hours it took to turn her into a living work of art.

“The most memorable thing was me bent over on a table while someone took a little paintbrush and just colored circles around my bu**hole,” Rousey said, according to People. “And I was like, ‘I am not used to anything cold and wet being there.’ So it was really odd.”

Surprisingly, Rousey said that she didn’t feel naked after the body paint was applied and dried. However, there was one wardrobe item that she dearly missed getting to don during her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition photo shoot. Because Rousey spends so much time training for fights, she usually keeps her girls lifted up and wiggle-free with a heavy-duty sports bra. She couldn’t wait to give her breasts some support after letting them hang loose for longer than half-a-day.

“I’m standing there naked for 14 hours and shooting for all this time and at the end of the day, they’re like, ‘Do you want to eat? Do you want water? Do you want anything else?’ I’m like ‘No, I want a bra pronto. All other needs come later.'”

The colorful swimsuit Ronda Rousey rocks on the SI cover isn’t the only body paint masterpiece that she can be seen modeling in the swimsuit issue — she also posed in a creation by artist Joanne Gair that really captures her fighting spirit.

According to Sports Illustrated, Australian swimwear company We Are Handsome is actually selling a one-piece swimsuit that looks exactly like the white tiger design Rousey rocked during her photo shoot. The swimsuit is fittingly called The Fighter, and women will be glad to know that they won’t have to endure 14 hours of standing still and having strangers stare at their intimate areas to put it on.

This year, Ronda Rousey is sharing her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl status with two other lovely ladies, models Hailey Clauson and Ashley Graham. Graham is the first plus-size model to appear on the SI swimsuit issue cover, and Rousey revealed that she’s a massive fan of the voluptuous beauty and her body-positive message.

“I don’t know if I felt more special getting the cover or being able to sit there and personally witness Ashley Graham’s reaction,” Rousey said. “I was already slightly girl crush obsessed with her, and she just met every expectation and more. She is an amazing human being and it made me so happy to see her that happy.”

Even though Ronda Rousey’s KO loss to Holly Holm is still generating buzz, the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion obviously isn’t letting the shocking upset get her down. She’s following in the footsteps of another SI swimsuit model, three-time cover girl Kate Upton, by trying to take Hollywood by storm, and the Entourage star has something really big in the works — she’s set to star alongside Tina Fey in a movie titled Do Nothing B***hes. According to Deadline, Rousey will play the “no-nonsense instructor” at a camp for lazy rich women who need some motivation to become more than “do nothing b***hes.” The attention-grabbing title of the movie is inspired by a line that Rousey delivered in a viral interview about female empowerment.

Another Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover girl is likely looking forward to Ronda Rousey’s movie. According to ET Online, Beyonce has been delivering lines from Rousey’s “do nothing b***hes” speech during her performances. Since Beyonce is obviously a fan of the MMA star, perhaps she’d consider signing on to play one of the socialites who needs to shape up in Do Nothing B***hes.

With her star on the rise, maybe Ronda Rousey should seriously consider hanging up her gloves in the near future — receiving compliments from Beyonce and bossing Tina Fey around has to be a lot more fun than training to take Holly Holm down.
