Justin Timberlake And Alfonso Ribeiro Dance “The Carlton” And Sing A Duet Through The Pebble Beach Pro Am [Video]
Justin Timberlake and his new bff Alfonso Ribeiro have been entertaining fellow golfers and spectators at the Pebble Beach Pro Am this week.
According to CBS Sports, Justin is playing in the tournament with pro golfer Justin Rose. Timberlake took a break from swinging the golf club on Thursday to pick up a fan’s acoustic guitar and croon a few bars of his song “Drink You Away.” Alfonso Ribeiro, who is paired with pro golfer William McGirt, quickly joined Justin in the impromptu song but that wasn’t the highlight of the dynamic duo’s performance.
Justin Timberlake is well known for his comedic personality, vocal prowess, and dance moves. Alfonso Ribeiro is a former Dancing with the Stars champion who is best known for his own dance move introduced by his Fresh Prince of Bel Air character, Carlton.
While golf fans were likely more interested in the standings of Justin Rose and William McGirt on the leadership board, Timberlake and Ribeiro fans were more than likely hoping that the moment they had been waiting for would arrive — a Justin and Alfonso dance duet. Timberlake and Ribeiro did not disappoint as they simultaneously busted out their “Carlton” moves.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Timberlake and Ribeiro’s dance routine is a bit of a tradition at the Pebble Beach Pro Am. Last year, Justin turned his golf shoes into dance shoes after Alfonso had a rough shot on the green. Fans were delighted when Ribeiro joined in, and there is speculation the pairing of him with Timberlake in performing the Carlton will continue for many years to come.
While both Timberlake and Ribeiro’s teams have been eliminated from the competition for Sunday’s team event, Justin got some love from his pro golf partner Justin Rose on social media.
Shame we didn’t make Sunday in the team event… @jtimberlake played great this week, hope we can team up again in the @attproam

Timberlake, in true southern gentleman fashion wished his partner and fellow Justin a victory:
Bro… Had so much fun with you this week! Only missed by 1! “Pencil whipping for sure…” Hahaha! Go win tomorrow! https://t.co/1pX7lW7bvu

While both Justin Timberlake and Alfonso Ribeiro are well known golf enthusiasts, some might be surprised to know that Justin was also the owner of one of Tennessee’s most elite golf courses, Mirimichi. According to Yahoo Sports, Timberlake purchased the golf course and poured close to $16 million into the facility. Justin completely redesigned the course and made it more eco friendly and Timberlake’s innovation was rewarded when Mirimichi made Golfweek’s list of best courses to play on. In November of 2014, Justin reportedly sold the property to a Tennessee businessman for the low sum of $500,000.
Timberlake’s love of golf went beyond business and spilled into his charitable efforts as well. Justin was the host of the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Open from 2008 to 2012.
While Justin is said to play with a six handicap, his elimination from participating in Sunday’s Pebble Beach Pro Am will undoubtedly thrill two people–his wife Jessica Biel and infant son Silas. Sure you won’t be taking home the trophy this year, but who better to spend Valentine’s Day with than the two people you adore the most, Justin? And maybe if Silas doesn’t pick up your love of golf, he might just pick up a dance move or two.
