NASA Is Destroying Evidence Of Ancient Life On Mars: Curiosity Rover Runs Over, Flattens Ancient Martian Face Sculpture, UFO Hunters Claim

UFO hunters have once again accused NASA of engaging in ISIS-like behavior on Mars by destroying evidence of artifacts of ancient Mars civilization and fossil remains of biological life on Mars. The seemingly bizarre allegation against NASA by UFO and anomaly hunters was supported by former NASA astrobiologist Richard Hoover, who alleged in 2014 that NASA scientists deliberately destroyed fossil evidence of ancient Martian life photographed in 2004 by Opportunity rover.

In a February 11 blog post, UFO Sightings Daily editor Scott Waring accused NASA of allowing Curiosity rover to run right over and flatten under its metal tire a rare ancient Martian sculpture of an alien face.

According to Waring, writing on his popular space conspiracy theory blog, new evidence that NASA is perpetrating systematic acts of cultural vandalism on Mars comes from photos of the Martian environment taken by Curiosity rover on February 10 (see photos below).

The photos, according to Waring, show Curiosity rover’s metal tire tread marks running over Martian soil and rocks. The blogger draws attention to a flattened object on the ground, over which the tire tracks run and claims that the object is an ancient Mars sculpture of an alien face that became flattened after the nearly 4,000 kg (8,800 lbs) Curiosity rover ran over it.

According to UFO hunters, after Curiosity rover flattened the alleged sculpture under its metal wheels it then turned round to snap a photo showing evidence of its act of vandalism, as though proud of it.

Waring wants to know why NASA allowed Curiosity rover to run over an obvious piece of rare ancient cultural artifact on the Red Planet.

“Today the rover drove over an ancient face with its metal tires. There are three photos of this face. Taken Feb 10, 2015 at 11:06:18 UTC on Sol 1249 of Curiosity,” the UFO hunter writes.

“The tread marks go across the face, the rover changes directions after driving over it. I wonder… did the scientists at [NASA see] or even care about what they drove over?” he asks.

Then he insinuates a dark motive behind the action, saying, “Curiosity it seems has become blind to its publicized mission, but instead has a mission unknown to the public.”

Waring notes that the alleged alien face sculpture could be tens of thousands or even millions of years old and accuses the agency of “unethical standards” and disregard for artifacts of ancient alien civilizations on Mars. He argues that NASA’s action could be compared to allowing a tractor tread upon Michelangelo’s statue of David.

“If the statue of David by Michelangelo was buried entirely except for its face, would the public walk over it and ignore it? Even on Earth people are more curious about the unknown, than the rover named after it,” Waring rants.

“NASA scientists seem to make their own rules as they go, regardless of the unethical standards and the damage the cause to art thousands of years old,” he concludes.

Some critics have compared NASA’s alleged vandalism on Mars to the behavior of rampaging ISIS terrorists in the Middle East. According to media reports, ISIS terrorists have been destroying archeological sites in Iraq and Syria, smashing valuable artifacts of ancient history with pickaxes and sledgehammers, bulldozing and blowing up ancient buildings.

And this is not the first time that Waring and fellow Mars anomaly hunters have claimed they spotted ancient artifacts and fossil evidence of biological life on Mars. Waring has claimed discoveries, including artifacts similar to ancient Mayan sculptures, ancient Mesopotamian sculptures, and Buddha statues.

The indefatigable anomaly hunter also claims to have spotted dead aliens and fossil remains of ancient life forms in photos of the Martian surface snapped by Curiosity rover.

Mars anomaly hunters claim that ancient civilizations flourished on Mars tens of thousands or millions of years ago. According to anomaly hunters, the civilizations were destroyed by hostile aliens who detonated thermonuclear weapons on the Red Planet.

Mars anomaly researcher Dr. John Brandenburg, a plasma physicists who obtained his Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis, identified two major ancient Mars civilizations — Cydonia and Utopia — in a paper published in the Journal of Cosmological Physics, titled “Evidence of Massive Thermonuclear Explosions in Mars Past.”

This is not the first time that NASA has been accused of deliberately destroying evidence of ancient life and civilization on Mars. In February 2014, former NASA scientist Richard Hoover told the Huffington Post’s Lee Speigel at the Open Minds 2014 International UFO Congress that NASA was destroying evidence of life on Mars (see video below).

Hoover is a distinguished former NASA astrobiologist who worked with NASA for nearly five decades and helped the agency establish its Astrobiology Research Group. He conducted ground-breaking research on meteorite microfossils and claimed evidence of extraterrestrial life in meteorites.

According to Hoover, in 2004, Opportunity rover took photos of a rock formation on the Martian surface that was remarkably similar to fossil remains of Earth organisms known as crinoids. But soon after the photos (see images below) were taken Opportunity rover destroyed the rock formation.

Hoover claims that when he asked David McKay, a NASA astrobiologist, why the rock formation was destroyed, McKay claimed that it was destroyed to allow scientists to test the inside for carbon.

But Hoover said the explanation made no sense because “anyone who does much in the field of paleontology knows that you don’t have to find carbon to find fossil.”

To illustrate his confusion and suspicion about the motive of NASA scientists who destroyed the rock formation, Hoover said, “If a paleontologist finds on Earth a rock containing an interesting fossil, they collect it. You would never have a paleontologist say, ‘Gee. That may represent a new genus of life on Earth. Where’s my rock hammer? I want to smash that to bits.'”

He told Speigel, “I am absolutely convinced that life is not restricted to the planet Earth because I have found the remains of lifeforms that are absolutely, conclusively extraterrestrial.”

Referring to critics who have dismissed his work as quackery, he said, “These critics will not debate me in an open scientific forum. I would be perfectly willing to go to the Cosmos Club in Washington, to go to any university and have an academic debate and scientific discussion.”

But NASA officials continue to dismiss the allegations against the agency, saying that the tendency of UFO hunters, and some otherwise distinguished scientists, to see evidence of life forms and cultural artifacts in photos of the Martian environment is due to a psychological phenomenon called apophenia, defined as the tendency of the human mind to perceive patterns, order and meaning in otherwise random data.

NASA officials claim that a form of apophenia, called pareidolia, explains why some UFO hunters tend to see human faces in photos of Mars taken by the rovers.

Pareidolia, according to clinical psychologists, also explains why some people tend to see the “face of Jesus” in the most unexpected places, such as on tree barks, sandwiches, hillsides, and on toilet seats.
