Barbara Palvin: Justin Bieber’s Ex Is ‘Sports Illustrated’s’ 2016 Rookie Of The Year

Gorgeous model Barbara Palvin has been announced as one of the rookies in the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

Barbara Palvin is typically known for being Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend. Now, she’s making a name for herself by posing inside the pages of Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit Issue. The news was revealed in a sizzling video of Palvin posing in three barely-there bikinis for the men’s magazine. She was also excited to share the news with her fans.

Barbara took to social media to share a hot photo of herself in a bikini along with the caption, “I am really joyful to declare, that I among the Cubs of the Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2016!! @si_swimsuit #SISwim.”

Barbara Palvin was announced as the first member of the SI Swimsuit 2016 Rookie Class on Monday, February 8, according to Sports Illustrated. The magazine plans to announce five rookies each day in order to tease the upcoming Swimsuit Issue.

The model was born on October 8, 1993, in Budapest, Hungary, which makes her 22-years-old. Palvin was noticed on the streets of Budapest when she was only 13-years-old. Since she has been discovered as a model, she has modeled for Armani Exchange, H&M, L’Oreal, Miu Miu, and Victoria’s Secret.

Barbara has also graced many fashion covers, including Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Telva, and Vogue. She also has dabbled in acting. In 2014, Barbara made her first acting debut in the movie Hercules playing the role of Antimache. She was also featured in the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

She has been compared to the likes of her modeling peers like Cara Delevingne. Like the British import, Palvin has a silly sense of humor and makes great emoji faces. When she’s not dressing up, Palvin will just tie her hair up in a high bun and apply eye makeup underneath her eyes.

Last year, Barbara said that her beauty routine is quite simple due the fact that she’s still young and doesn’t have to worry about aging or acne.

“I clean my face twice a day with cold water and don’t go to sleep with make-up on. I’m still 21 so I don’t have to do a lot. But when I fly, I use L’Oreal Hydrafresh to put a thick layer on my skin so that it doesn’t get dry.”

The busy model also revealed to Vogue that she loves to cook on her down time.

“Hungarian foods usually. But I did a mac and cheese last week back home, just for my friends. My friends turned 21, so I thought ‘I’m going to cook.'”

Barbara Palvin has been linked to One Direction member Niall Horan, singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, and bad boy Justin Bieber. The couple were first spotted flirting with each other backstage at the 2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Palvin and Bieber then reunited in France at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

The model has since spoken out in both public and on social media about dating Justin Bieber and said there’s no truth to the rumors.

“I’m okay to talk about it because I know there’s nothing. It’s ridiculous how this go to the news.”

Barbara revealed that she’s only been “hanging out” with the singer.

“I wanted to meet him real bad. I watched his movie and I was like, ‘He’s such a cool kid, I want to meet him.’ And when I did at the [Victoria’s Secret] show we met and of course we had a conversation and then I took the picture with him.”

Then she explained what really happened with the Biebs after they were photographed attending The Lion King Musical on Broadway.

“It was my sister’s first time in New York and we so wanted to go to Broadway, but there were no more tickets. I just came up and was telling him, ‘My sister is here, but she’s sad because we can’t go to Broadway, no more tickets.’ And he was like, ‘Well, I can get you one.’ And his friends came… like six people and then me, my sister and agent. So friends.”
