Kendall And Kylie Jenner Reveal Selfie Tips
Kendall and Kylie Jenner are notably the experts on taking selfie photographs. They spoke with Us on February 8, at the launch of their Kendall + Kylie collection at a private $43 million Tribeca Penthouse Loft Space.
Selfie pictures and Instagram followers have been a constant in the sister’s lives. Kylie, at age 18, has 50.6 million followers. Kendall, at 20, is closely following her younger sister, with 48.4 million Instagram followers, reports Vanity Fair. The girls grew up in the limelight, and have been stars their entire lives, so fame sits quite comfortably on their shoulders.

They agreed to give Us some tips on how to take fabulous selfie photos. “It’s all about the lighting!” they said. Kendall went on.
“You have to know your angles. I think there’s one particular angle that’s flattering to everyone, and you have to know your face and work that. I don’t look good from every angle, so I make sure I use my best one. And of course, practice in the mirror.”
Kylie had a different take on the subject.
“It’s really just how I edit them, that’s the real trick. I feel like people want to see my whole outfit, so I’ll have my friends just take full body pictures of me in my backyard and then you have to edit them! Don’t go to crazy [with editing], but it’s important.”
Kylie and Kendall have been generous with their selfie tips for their fans. In June of last year, Kylie revealed some secrets in an interview with the Daily Mail at Cannes Lions. At that time she had 27.1 million Instagram followers. She said that “the art of taking a selfie was one she takes very seriously.”
“I take, like, 500 selfies to get one I like.”
When asked if she ever regretted posting selfie pictures, she laughed.
“Sometimes I regret putting one up if I find a better one later. I’m like damn, that’s a better photo, but that’s the only thing I regret.”

The two tips were to keep trying and you can’t do anything wrong. Kendall commented on these two.
“Every girl knows, for that one selfie that gets posted, there’s like, 100 behind it. There’s not really anything bad you can do in a selfie.”
Again, Kylie discussed getting the lighting right.
“It’s not a makeup light. It’s a light that I got off E-Bay or something. It’s like an umbrella with a light, and you take the umbrella off and it’s just a bright light.”
She went on to say that you don’t have to always have full makeup on for your selfie.
“I’ve realized people really like my no makeup selfies!”
And finally, don’t let the haters bother you. Kylie talked about this as well.
“You can read 1,000 nice comments and remember the mean one. I think you should really only listen to what your family and close friends say. I try to let it go in one ear and out the other and stay positive.”
