DMX Dead? Rapper With Negative $10M Net Worth Nearly Dies, Found Unconscious, Not Breathing
Hip-hop star DMX was rushed to the hospital on Monday night after his breath stopped temporarily. He is alleged to have suffered a drug overdose. According to TMZ, the 45-year-old hip-hop star was at the brink of death and required CPR after losing his pulse.
Representatives of the “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” hitmaker had claimed that he suffered an asthma attack, but the signs have indicated otherwise. According to the reports, Yonkers cops were responding to the call about a comatose male at a Ramada Inn just past 6 p.m. when they encountered DMX.

When the police arrived on the scene, DMX was lying on ground next to a parked car in the parking lot. The paramedics successfully administered CPR immediately after determining that he was lifeless and not breathing, without any pulse. DMX’s pulses returned after about a minute’s effort from the cops.
As reported to the police by a witness on the scene, DMX appeared to have consumed some sort of powder before falling unconsciousness. The police administered the anti-opioid medication Narcan at the scene, which is essentially an antidote to narcotic ODs.
After the primary treatment on the field, DMX became “semi-conscious” and was immediately taken to the hospital. According to the latest reports, DMX’s condition is stable and no criminal charges are expected as of now.
The latest health scare caps off what has been a turbulent few months for the rapper. In July, 2015, the rapper was sentenced to six months in jail after he failed to pay $400,000 (£256,000) in child support.
