Kendall and Kylie Jenner are set to give the Olsen twins run for their money. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars have just launched their new clothing and footwear line at a loft party in Tribeca ahead of New York’s Fashion Week. And unlike their older sisters’ duds, these are garments you definitely won’t find at a discount store.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s line is called, not so surprisingly, Kendall + Kylie, and it’s chock full of slit dresses, halter jumpsuits, super high pumps, and other fashionable pieces suitable for anyone who wants to dress like the Jenner sibs. And the pieces are also a bit more upscale than some of the clan’s past fashion lines.
In an interview with People , Kendall and Kylie Jenner revealed that they designed their collection based on their own sense of style. Kendall Jenner also said that she and her younger sister tried on all of the pieces in the collection.
“We designed it according to what we love, and how our style is. It’s someone who is really similar to us. A young girl wanting to have fun. That’s mainly what we designed.”
Kendall and Kylie Jenner celebrated their clothing line launch with plenty of famous faces from their inner circle. In addition to their proud mama Kris Jenner, the brunette beauties partied with brother-in-law Kanye West and supermodel pals like Gigi Hadid and Josephine Skriver.
Of course, this isn’t Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s first foray into the fashion world. The celeb sisters already have a line they created exclusively for mall retailer Pac Sun. The casual clothing line features rompers, denim overalls, swimwear, and more. The sisters also have their name on a clothing line with TopShop, so if you’re looking for junior’s styles like a faux fur hoodie or a metallic leather skirt, you know where to go.
And these savvy teens have their hands in plenty of other business ventures, too. In addition to their E! reality show and Kendall’s modeling career, Kylie Jenner launched a highly successful lip kit that sold out in under an hour after its online launch last fall. The $29 pink, chocolate, and mauve pout-perfecting kits come with names like Dolce K, Truly Brown K, and Candy K, and are sold exclusively on the reality star’s website . Kylie Jenner’s lip kit was completely self-produced by the teen entrepreneur, who was reportedly involved in every aspect of production, from lab tests to the packaging design.
As for their newest venture, the Kendall and Kylie Jenner clothing line won’t be found at Sears like their older sisters’ lower-end Kardashian Kollection. Instead, Kendall and Kylie’s fashions willbe available at several high-end department stores like Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Prices for Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s line average at about $175 to $200, and go as high as $500. An industry insider told the New York Post that Kendall and Kylie Jenner have more clout in the fashion world than their older sisters, especially since Kendall Jenner has already worked as a runway model.
“They have more credibility when it comes to fashion than their older sisters who didn’t work the runways and had not captured people’s imagination as style icons.”
And with nearly 100 million Twitter followers combined, these social media savvy sisters are poised to take over the fashion world with this sleek new collection. And this time, they’re even in charge of their career. Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s momager, Kris Jenner, reportedly won’t be a part of their new business.
