WWE Rumors: Popular Tag Team Wants To Return To WWE — Wants Triple H To Bring Them Back
WWE is really working on advancing their tag team division and making it relevant once again. A number of new teams have come about in the last couple of years, and NXT has a few that will be stars when called up. Still, there are some out there who are hoping and wishing that they could be a part of it all again, and that’s why Cryme Tyme really wishes that Triple H would bring them back into the WWE fold.
JTG and Shad Gaspard haven’t been in WWE in quite some time, but would love to head back into a WWE ring and compete for the tag titles.
TMZ Sports recently caught up with Gaspard, and he told them that both he and JTG are ready and able to return to WWE. The only thing that is needed though is for Triple H to speak with them, agree to bring them back, and sign them both to new deals.
“The honest truth is me and Jay would love to come back to the company.”
There are many past superstars who would love to return to WWE if they were given the chance to do so, but it’s not quite so simple. For Triple H to bring them back in, it’s going to take a good enough reason and a deal that isn’t one overdoing their welcome.
Not to mention, there also needs to be space for them to fit into the tag division.
Shad Gaspard was released by WWE way back at the end of 2010 along with a number of others. JTG actually hung on with WWE for a few more years and wasn’t released from his contract until the summer of 2014, but he hadn’t been seen on WWE television in months. The duo paired up again on the independent circuit in 2014 as “Crime Time” since WWE owns the rights to “Cryme Tyme.” They’ve done some wrestling appearances around the world, but have done a number of other things as well.
JTG released a book. Shad Gaspard has done a bit of acting here and there, but nothing that was ever really that huge. Still, they would be more than happy to head back into the WWE tag team ranks and get back in the ring.
Right now, the tag team division in WWE is one that is quite crowded, but talented teams are always welcomed. The New Day are dominating the division and have held the tag belts for the majority of the past year even with big-time opposition.Teams like the Dudley Boyz, The Wyatt Family, Lucha Dragons, Brass Ring Club, The Authority, and The Usos fill up the division. There are sometimes other teams such as combinations from the League of Nations and the Social Outcasts which bring about even more.
In NXT, there are even more teams that could be called up at any time and really add more to the WWE main roster. Teams like Dash and Dawson, American Alpha, The Hype Bros., The Vaudevillains, and others are the future of WWE’s tag division.
As Wrestling Inc. even pointed out, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger have been teaming up together quite often. They are undefeated so far after picking up a victory over The Ascension on Superstars this past week.
Honestly, it may be hard to believe that Triple H would even want to bring back Cryme Tyme. Just because they want to come back isn’t necessarily a good enough reason, and WWE really does have a lot of talent already on the roster. Cryme Tyme’s return isn’t necessarily guaranteed, but stranger things have happened.
