According to The Vampire Diaries synopsis, Damon Salvatore will continue his dark descent. After coming out from the Phoenix stone, Damon changed. He no longer cares about anything, which viewers couldn’t help but notice last week. It seems that things are not going to get better for Damon Salvatore.
“When his experience in the Phoenix stone leads him to do the unthinkable, Damon finds himself without a care in the world, spiraling out of control and under the influence of a dangerous and reckless Julian,” The Futon Critic wrote. “Refusing to give up on his brother, Stefan attempts to reason with Damon only to uncover the devastating reason for his descent.”
Stefan Salvatore will attempt to help his brother on The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 12. He knows what Damon is going through, but will Stefan get through to his struggling sibling? On the next episode of The Vampire Diaries , Stefan will learn what is causing Damon’s dark descent.

Even though the unborn twins are not Caroline’s, she has bonded with the babies. On the last episode of The Vampire Diaries , Caroline told Alaric that she could tell them apart. How will Caroline handle it when the twins are born and she has to hand them over to Alaric? On the last episode of The Vampire Diaries , he applied for a job far away from Mystic Falls. Alaric also let Caroline know that she will not be involved in their lives.

Caroline has always been emotional. The Vampire Diaries character doesn’t deal with loss well. If Alaric follows through on his plans, will Caroline be able to deal with her grief? Will she go through a supernatural postpartum depression? Could this cause Caroline to once again flip her humanity switch? Or will Alaric change his mind by the time the twins are born?
Spoilers for The Vampire Diaries Season 7, Episode 12 also tease that Stefan and Valerie’s friendship will evolve. How will this affect Caroline, especially with pregnancy hormones and the side effects? Not to mention she is now worried about losing the babies after they are born. Caroline will need Stefan’s support, but is she looking at losing someone else in her life?
“As for Stefan’s love life, his friendship with Valerie will evolve,” executive producer Caroline Dries told TV Line. “Leaving Caroline to wonder, ‘Where did my boyfriend go?’”
Other spoilers for The Vampire Diaries state that Bonnie, Nora and Mary Louise are searching for a ruthless vampire hunter named Rayna. The trio believes Rayna has resurfaced and are determined to find her before it’s too late.
