Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Seen Leaving Studio — Is The Couple Recording A New Single?
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are taking time from their The Voice responsibilities to work on new music, Hollywood Life reported about the celebrity couple.
Earlier this week, Gwen and Blake were spotted heading into a Los Angeles studio together. The studio is not affiliated with where Stefani and Shelton participate as mentors for The Voice, the article explained.
Rumors abound that Gwen and Blake will be recording a new country song. That possibility exists as both Stefani and Shelton are separately working on new music for upcoming albums in 2016.
Blake — who will be returning as a judge for The Voice this season — will be sharing details of his past year on his new album. Shelton explained to Country Countdown USA that his creative juices are flowing after the divorce from fellow country start Miranda Lambert and finding new love Gwen Stefani.
“I’ve written more than I’ve written in 15 years, for obvious reasons, all the awful things that have happened in my personal life, but the way the year ended is also the greatest of my life.”
When Blake was asked what made it great, he declined to answer. “I better not talk about that just yet, but sometimes you don’t know who’s in your life that can save you,” Shelton responded.
“I found some people in my life that have changed my life forever. Some has been bad and some that’s been pretty good. I’m doing what I’m supposed to do, and that’s put all I’ve gone through and put it into music, and I never felt more connected to a record before.”

Before hitting the studio with Blake Shelton this month, Gwen tweeted a picture of herself in the studio working with the same collaborative team that brought her fans the post-divorce hit “Used To Love You.” Stefani is laying more tracks for a new album that the artist called a “breakup record,” People reported. The same goes for her previous records, the former lead singer for No Doubt said.
“Both of them were. It’s like the two people I… I only had two boyfriends. I wrote two records about them. You know what I mean? It’s just weird. It just makes me believe in God and my journey. My cross to bear was to go through these heartbreaks and write these songs and help people.”
Gwen – who is not returning as a judge on The Voice for season 10 – has a personal connection to her music, as evidenced by her latest hit. Stefani opened up on how that song came to be after her split from ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
“My truth is ‘Used to Love You’: That’s the song. That’s what I said, and I feel really fine about sharing that, and I feel honored to share it… I was going along thinking that was going to be the rest of my life and it’s not… There was one night, the epicenter of the whole thing – that’s the most I can say about that – and the next day I wrote the chorus to ‘Used to Love You.'”
While Gwen will not be serving as a judge, that doesn’t mean Blake will forgo seeing his romantic interest on The Voice this season. The Inquisitr reported that Shelton has asked Stefani to serve as his mentor for The Voice. Miley Cyrus will also be joining Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani on The Voice this season as a key advisor to all contestants during the competitive knockout rounds.
