‘Arrow’ Season 4 Spoilers — David Ramsey Hints At Unhappy Ending For Andy, Plus The Return Of Nyssa

Ever since he rescued his brother from H.I.V.E., John Diggle’s (David Ramsey) relationship with Andy (Eugene Byrd) has been circumspect. Although the latest episode of Arrow offered some hope that John would eventually trust Andy once again, the actor recently hinted of an unhappy future for the brothers.

In an interview with E! Online, Ramsey explained how the next installment would feature a look at Andy’s life prior to Damien Darhk’s (Neal McDonough) brainwashing. This flashback will help fans understand why John is still hanging on to the idea that he can get his brother back. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that things will turn out good for the siblings.

“But as it is on Arrow, any time there’s a happy [moment,] anytime people are riding off into the sunset, we know it won’t last,” Ramsey shared. “Even though there’s some ray of sunshine by the end of this episode, my sense is that the rain is coming.”

Ramsey went on to reveal his thoughts on which character is set to meet his or her end this season. While he didn’t reveal who he thought will be killed off, the actor admitted that there was a bit of tension on set.

“[There was] a little bit of angst, a little bit of anxiety in the air,” he stated. “We all know that there’s a mark on everyone’s back except for Oliver and Felicity.”

Along with John and Andy working their issues out, Carter Matt is reporting that the next episode of Arrow might see the return of Tatsu (Rila Fukushima). While the show has killed off a number of different DC characters in the past, including Deadshot and Amanda Waller, it appears as though Tatsu will not suffer a similar fate.

“We loved that Tatsu last season kind of evolved into [Katana], so we’re really excited about her return,” Wendy Mericle told the outlet. “It was great to have Rila [Fukushima] back and to see that character again, but it’ll be kind of a new, surprising way that we do it.”

At the same time, International Business Times is reporting that the coming episode will also feature a new villain named the Calculator (Tom Amandes). The new bad guy is apparently a genius when it comes to strategy and will be a challenge for Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), who is still coming off her recovery following Darhk’s attack.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Calculator might turn out to be more than the average villain. In fact, the theory is that the Calculator is Felicity’s father-turned-villain, who has been missing for a number of years.

Meanwhile, with Team Arrow fighting multiple fronts, Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) is also set to make a return this week. As fans will recall, Roy left Star City after he agreed to take the hit for Oliver (Stephen Amell) and come out as the city’s vigilante hero.

It is not known why Roy is back in the city, but his appearance is definitely not a good sign for Oliver and his team. Is it possible that his return is connected with the Calculator and Felicity?

To add even more characters into the mix, fans will also see Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) make her return to the series. Nyssa was last seen swearing revenge on Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) after he brought back Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) using the Lazarus Pit. Exactly what Malcolm is up to with bringing her back is yet to be seen.

The next episode of Arrow, titled “Unchained,” is set to air Wednesday night on The CW.
