‘Game Of Thrones’ Stars Tease Season 6 At The SAG Awards, Sophie Turner Has A Meltdown Over Ryan Gosling

Season 6 of Game of Thrones is almost upon us despite having to move on without the next book in the series. However, while it may seem odd that the TV show will be aired before the book is available in print, the actors promised a season that is going to be one to remember.

Michael Huisman, attending the Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, teased the upcoming season to Game of Thrones.

“I’m really excited to see what the audience is going to think of our next season,” said Huisman, who plays Daario Naharis on the hit show, according to the International Business Times. “It’s going to be bigger and better… The storylines become, like, you know, you get more and more engaged. You’re rooting for a certain house. And that will certainly be the case this year as well.”

“You’re always worried you’re going to die because that’s, you know, that’s kind of what happens on our show,” he added in reference to the show’s history of killing off main characters.

Along with Huisman, Emilia Clark (Daenerys/Khaleesi/The Mother of Dragons), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) also attended the awards show and opened up about Season 6 on the red carpet.

“Legitimately, this season almost killed us,” Clarke said told E! News. “Like, it is epic. Like, it’s huge. It’s insane. It’s silly.”

Clarke’s words verified what Huisman had said as fans have every right to get excited about the upcoming season.

Kit Harington (Jon Snow) was stabbed multiple times and was last seen bloody and left for dead at the end of Season 5. The actor recently confirmed that Jon Snow is dead, which was seconded by Coster-Waldau, who stated that at the beginning of Season 6, fans will learn that Jon Snow is, in fact, dead.

However, despite what he and his co-stars have to say, Harington has been spotted on the set of Season 6 in recent months and also appears in Game of Thrones Season 6 promo pics. Fans have a glimmer of hope that dead doesn’t always mean gone, at least not in the Game of Thrones universe.

As for Sansa Stark, who was last seen escaping her ruthless, rapist husband, Turner, reiterated, according to Vanity Fair, that Season 6 will be great.

“This season is a really, really big one for Sansa. It’s probably her best season yet. It’s her really coming into her own. She, this season, really commands the respect that she deserves and she grabs hold of it and she runs with it and it’s really good. [Fans will] finally [get] that storyline that you’ve been craving for the past five seasons…it feels like it’s been building up and up to that. You can only suffer so much before she finally gets…the respect that she deserves.”

Switching out of her role as Sansa Stark, Turner showed her more human side, a side that fans often forget about, in a run in with Ryan Gosling. The teenage star, who many forget is only 19, posted an image of herself via Instagram with a draw dropped shocked expression when Gosling was seated at a table just behind the young actress.

“Sorry boys. I’m off the market,” the caption read.

While neither Gosling’s film The Big Short nor Game of Thrones won any prizes, it seems the biggest moment that night was Turner being seated one table down from Gosling.
