Ian Somerhalder Puts Nina Dobrev Reunion Rumors To Rest, Calls Life With Nikki Reed ‘Bliss’

No matter what Ian Somerhalder does in his life, there will always be those fans who want nothing more than to see him back with Nina Dobrev. Despite all of the rumors that Somerhalder was considering returning to his former Vampire Diaries co-star, the actor recently put to rest the notion that he loved anyone besides his current wife, Nikki Reed.

In an interview with People, Somerhalder shared just how much his wife means to him and his happiness. In fact, Somerhalder described his relationship as “bliss,” and shared that Reed is the source of his happiness and the reason he can wake up every morning with a smile.

“Every single day. Look who I get to wake up with… We’re under kitties and dogs, and it’s just pure bliss.”

Somerhalder and Reed live with a number of different pets in their house, which includes dogs, horses, and cats. In fact, their shared love for animals is one common interest that binds the two stars together. Based on Somerhalder’s comments, it would appear as the couple has everything they need to make their marriage a lasting and meaningful one.

For her part, Reed also recently shared a few intimate words about her husband in a post to Instagram. Reed’s message was shared following the celebrations of Somerhalder’s 37th birthday, and contained nothing but love for her husband.

“You are my every dream brought to life … Here is to the next 65 years together, holding hands, strolling through the woods, still learning, still listening. Happy happy birthday… I love you,” she wrote.

Somerhalder went on to add that while it sometimes takes some effort to acknowledge, he is grateful for everything in his life.

“It has to be a conscious effort to wake up and recognize all the beauty in our lives,” he stated. “I’m grateful.”

Somerhalder’s recent interview should put to rest the rumors that have circulated in recent weeks regarding his past relationship with Dobrev. In particular, it was thought that Somerhalder and Reed were on the brink of a breakup, and that Somerhalder would subsequently return to Dobrev. Although the reports were unfounded, they still forced Somerhalder to address the mounting rumors that he and Dobrev were getting back together again.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder were involved in a relationship when they both worked on The Vampire Diaries. However, their relationship did not last long, and Dobrev’s time on the hit series ended with her departure at the end of last season.

Somerhalder and Reed, meanwhile, have been married for nine months, since exchanging vows back in April. Part of the reason why the two are still going strong in their new marriage is because of their shared passion for helping those in unfortunate circumstances.

According to International Business Times, this includes helping an 8-year-old kid, named Dorian Murray, who is currently fighting cancer to stay alive. Reed shared a recent photo on Instagram in honor of Murray’s fight against cancer and the boy’s wish to be “as famous as I can.”

In reply, Reed is seen in the photograph holding up a card with the words, “You’re famous in our home!! #DSTRONG Stay strong we love you.”

Along with the written message, Reed also captioned the image with a heartfelt message for Murray. “You are just pure light and love sweet Dorian. What a blessing it is to see your beautiful face. You have made it your mission to connect the entire world, and all at once we are sending you so so so much love. Thank you for being such a gift to all of us …”
