Jana Kramer Welcomes Daughter Jolie Rae With Michael Caussin — See The First Photos
Country singer Jana Kramer welcomed her first child, a daughter named Jolie Rae, with her husband, Michael Caussin, on Sunday, January 31 in Nashville, Tennessee. Jolie Rae Caussin made her grand entrance into the world at 4:01 p.m., and weighed in at seven pounds, one ounce and was 19.5 inches long.
“Words can’t even begin to describe how much happiness I’m feeling right now,” Kramer told People Magazine. “Holding my healthy and beautiful baby girl in my arms is something that’s truly indescribable. Michael and I are so thankful for this wonderful blessing!”
Jana and Michael tied-the-knot in May 2015 and revealed that they were expecting their first child together in August. Jana’s pregnancy news came while she was in the midst of promoting her sophomore album, thirty one.

“Being a mom will be the greatest job I’ll ever have,” Kramer said at the time. “I feel like the luckiest girl alive to be on this journey with the love of my life.”
“I am so incredibly excited about becoming a father,” Caussin added. “For me it is just another dream come true and I cannot imagine tackling parenthood with anyone else but Jana.”
In November, the “I Got the Boy” singer and the former NFL tight-end celebrated their pregnancy with an adorable baby shower.
“The shower was everything and more we could have ever dreamed it would be. My favorite part was when Michael and I took in the room and just saw all the love that was surrounding us and our baby girl-to-be,” Kramer said following the celebration.
During a recent interview with Fit Pregnancy and Baby, Kramer opened up about her struggle to get pregnant, revealing that the couple had tried for months before finally getting a positive pregnancy test. She said during the first trimester, she started to experience “all-day sickness” and had people thinking she was drunk because she was throwing up before and after her concerts. And unfortunately, the country singer said the morning sickness never went away.
She said, “I’m one of the ones who has it for all of her pregnancy.”
“I can honestly say just knowing our little baby girl is inside of me makes it all worth it and I can’t wait to do it all over again,” Jana said. “Having said that, it won’t be right away. I need my time with wine again.”

Despite her extensive morning sickness, Jana Kramer continued on with her shows and even released her latest album while she was pregnant. She hasn’t stopped working and said she wouldn’t be stopping for long after her baby was born.
“I’ve told my management that six weeks after the baby is born, I’ll be ready to go back on the road,” she said. “Mama’s gotta work.”
As if giving birth to her daughter wasn’t exciting enough, on Monday, February 1, the Academy of Country Music Award nominees were announced, and Jana is up for Female Vocalist of the Year.
“Is this real life?!?!?!?! Holy crap!!!! Thank you!!!!” Kramer tweeted following the announcement. “So honored and excited to be nominated for an ACM Award!! Thank you!!! #ACMs.”
